Weddings don't have to follow any rules, you create the party you want!

Katie and Elliot had so many unique aspects to their day:

❤ For place cards, they used envelopes for each guest, including a handwritten letter and a photo of them together from the past

❤ They invited their parents to join the cake cutting

❤ They danced La Marcha, a wedding tradition from their home state of New Mexico

I love seeing how couple's entwine their stories and personalities into their wedding day. What is the most unique tradition you have seen at a wedding day? I would love to hear in the comments!

Do you really need photo coverage while getting ready on your wedding day?

Many couples wonder if it's worth it to have their photographer start earlier in the day. But in those joyfully chaotic hours before you say I do, there are small moments you don't want to miss.

The finishing touches before you get dressed.

Your mother helping you fasten your bracelet.

Your flower girl struggling to buckle her shoe.

Six months is the perfect time to capture milestone portraits. Your little one is starting to express their personalities and engage in the world around them, they are able to sit up for a bit, but they aren't completely mobile which allows for some super cute shots! I generally like to keep props and outfits minimal to focus on those tiny features and sweet expressions. This little man absolutely nailed it and was quite the little model! Message me to learn more about scheduling a milestone session.

There are some places on this planet that we feel the most calm, the most grounded, the most ourselves, and Block Island is that place for me. That's one of the reasons I love photographing there so much, it feels like I am not only helping families and couples preserve their memories, but I'm sharing a little piece of my happiness with them. In November I had the opportunity to spend a day with the talented veterinary team of Massachusetts Equine Clinic , documenting some of the incredible work they do for their website and social media. Although I have been around horses for many years, it was so interesting to see this point of view and learn about all of the care they give these amazing animals! Thank you for all you do, and thank you for inviting me to capture your work!
