Such a fun mix of personalities! From the energetic dog, to the playful sibling relationships to the steadfast and faithful parents, this family was such an honor to spend time with and capture on camera!

Had the absolute privilege to take photos for my former professor's son a few weeks ago! I'm pretty confident that when I met Jake he was 8 years old. It seems absolutely absurd that he could possibly be a senior. Regardless, his mother warned me he didn't take bad pictures... and she was totally right! Thanks so much Kate for hanging with me a few Saturdays ago and saying the things to bring out the best smiles in your son! The one of her and him was made by me telling her, "Kate, say the most embarrassing thing to Jake". And if anyone knows Kate, you know she didn't disappoint!

I love these people so so very much. They are real, inspiring, driven, gracious, and so many other things I want to grow in. I love that our little girls run to one another and embrace when they see eachother. I love seeing my husband man-crush on Chris. I love having heart to hearts with Evie and always feeling a desire to live more like Jesus.

The fact that they are SO good-looking and make my photo skills look above average is just a bonus.

A few weeks ago I got to spend time with the Tate family and it was a blast! The kids were so well behaved and did so well considering all the different shots we were trying to get!

I love Father/Daughter pictures! Most likely because I have two little girls who squeal with delight when their daddy comes in the door. These sweet photos of Elianna and her daddy came to mind today as I'm trying to think of ways to celebrate my husband in a couple weeks for all he does as a father. Any fun traditions to celebrate dad's that you guys have?

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers this weekend! Mother's day is a time of joy for many, but also a time of mourning for many as well. For those of you mourning the loss of your mother, the loss of a child, the loss of a dream of being a mother, or the loss of what you believed motherhood to be vs. reality, know you are thought of and prayed for.

I'm one of the blessed to have a BOMB mom and to have two little girls who are honestly pretty easy to love. Thankful for this calling on my life even when some days are hard and wearisome, I'm so thankful I get to join the army of women trying to raise up a generation to live for the glory of the King!

Lisa Montalvo and Josh Johnson your momma's pretty bomb too I'd say :)
