Location Spotlight ✨✨

You can usually find me at a forest preserve...but occasionally I use other spots that are fun and beautiful!

This spot is a favorite of mine when you want something a little different for a backdrop. It gives a slightly more formal look than some of the forest preserves and has great light!

Hot tip for gaining cooperation with little ones... don't force anything!

As soon as you start to put too much pressure on making your child do something, it usually backfires! It's good to take breaks and mix things up / make a game to gain buy in from littles (especially toddlers).

Too much pressure = everyone is frustrated and tempers run high!

So parents, take a deep breath and relax! Your kids will pick up on your mood and attitude.

Connor - He was born 9 minutes before Claire and he likes to remind her of that fact! He's funny and smart. So creative and witty. He's sweet and thoughtful and loves adventure and danger. We love you, Connor!

Claire - She's so sweet and a born nurturer. She's helpful and caring and always thinking about someone else! She's clever and smart and the best smuggler. She is cautious and strong and we love her so much!

Six years has really flown by. We are so lucky these two are ours.

✨ I just love this sweet little family!

It feels like just last week we did Lincoln's newborn photos...now he's already a year old!

Watching your little one's grow up is so precious to me. Seeing the same families year after year (or more than once per year) is such a joy to me!

One thing I love about newborn sessions is viewing your homes and the spaces you create! it' gives me a lot of inspiration for what I want for my own home.

We didn't do newborn photos (other than hospital ones) the first time around. Having beautiful in-home newborn photos is something I'm really looking forward to this time around. I have roughly 20 weeks (hopefully) to get our home in shape. I have a vision and a Pinterest board...but now I really need to put it all together!

Summer is flying and it's got me thinking about Fall!

My fall mini sessions will be released NEXT WEEK! Keep an eye on your emails 👀

Thinking about if a mini session is right for your family? There are a lot of things to consider!

Do you. have kids that are pretty outgoing or slow to warm up? Minis can be nice because they are quick and efficient, but if you have kiddos that take time to warm up and get comfortable, you may want to consider a full session! Having the pressure of time constraints can make it difficult to allow kids to get comfortable enough to capture all of the images you want.
