During church today I felt this phrase lay on my heart. Having gotten to interact with a lot of MSC people and fans whether in person or online I’ve gotten to know a lot of people follow us because storms make them nervous

I was immediately reminded of the story of Jesus and the disciples on the boat when a storm suddenly hit in Matthew 8:23-25

The Sea of Galilee is well known for its sudden, violent storms. The severity of this storm was evident in the fact that the disciples (many of who were experienced fishermen on this lake) were terrified, crying out “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

You know what Jesus was doing? Sleeping.

His mind and heart were peaceful enough, trusting in the love and care of His Father in heaven, that He could sleep in the storm.

Now I may not be able to rebuke and calm the storms as I am just a man but I hope our coverage brings you peace in whatever storm you may encounter.

And even more than that, know there is a God who is with you in whatever storm, literal or figurative and that if you trust in Him, he will give you peace

Significant damaging wind event ongoing

If you are traveling to Indiana use extreme caution or avoid it if you can. If you are under a warning in your car pull off on the next exit and get into a building

An important update from MSC.

A significant damaging wind event (likely derecho) is underway across Illinois and moving through northwestern Indiana right now. Confirmed wind gusts over 90 mph near Chicago. Radar depicts perhaps higher wind gusts ongoing over 100 mph, especially heading into Porter county Indiana. While the bulk of these winds will remain in Indiana, some of these higher winds speeds will clip our southern counties.

Places along US-12 should be watching this line closely. We will likely be live in the next 15 minutes. Stay safe.
