✨ A downtown Warren couples session… with the sweetest surprise. 💍🤍

Lucy and JJ have been together for almost 4 years after meeting through a mutual friend. What Lucy didn’t know was that JJ had been carrying her ring around for an entire year, waiting for the perfect moment to ask her to marry him.

We planned this as a fun couples session, and I was secretly in on the surprise the whole time. Watching it all unfold was one of those moments I’ll never forget.

One of my favorite parts of this session was getting to photograph it right here in downtown Warren, Indiana. I may be a little biased since it’s home, but I truly think this little town is so underrated. It has so much character, and I loved being able to use the iconic Warren mural and our small-town streets to tell their story.

The laughter, the happy tears, the “YES!”… it was all so genuine. 🤍

Congratulations, Lucy & JJ! Thank you for trusting me to capture one of the biggest moments of your lives. Here’s to forever. 🥂💍

TRISTON | HUNTINGTON NORTH CLASS OF 2027

I seriously loved this session.

When I ask seniors what they want their session to say about them, this is exactly what I mean. Every location, every outfit, every photo told a little more of Triston’s story.

From baseball and fishing to his truck and his grandpa’s John Deere tractor, every stop had a purpose. Triston plans to become a diesel mechanic after graduation, so getting photos with the tractor was something he knew he wanted.

But my favorite part? Asking Grandpa to hop in for a few photos. 🥹
Watching them together around that old tractor was such a special moment, and I knew before I even left that I wanted to include a portrait of Grandpa by himself too. It may not be a “senior photo,” but it’s one of those story shots that means something. Years from now, I have a feeling those images will be worth more than either of us realize.

Those are the photos I love most… the ones that preserve a little piece of someone’s story.

Thank you, Triston, for letting me capture such a fun evening. I can’t wait to see where life takes you. Wishing you the very best during your senior year and beyond!🤍

SHIANN | HUNTINGTON NORTH CLASS OF 2027

This session was such a blast! We chased golden hour, dodged a few cars to get those road shots 🤭, wandered through wildflowers, cooled off in the water, and made memories the entire evening. I love when my seniors trust me enough to get a little creative because it’s always worth it in the end!

Shiann is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and plans to continue her education to pursue a career in nursing after graduation. 🩺🤍

One of her favorite Bible verses is:
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:2

This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and I’m so excited to finally make it happen!

I’m looking for a small group of Class of 2028 Seniors to become the very first Salt & Light Photography Senior Ambassadors.

This isn’t just a senior session…it’s a chance to be part of a creative team, make new friends, experience exclusive photo shoots, and help represent Salt & Light Photography throughout your senior year.

Only 4 ambassadors will be chosen, so I’m looking for seniors who are excited, involved, and ready to be part of something special!

As a Salt & Light Senior Ambassador, you’ll receive:

BRADEN | HUNTINGTON NORTH CLASS OF 2027

What better way to kick off Huntington’s fair week than with Braden’s mini senior session sneak peek!

There’s just something special about the bond between a 4-H’er and the animals they’ve spent months caring for. We had to include a few of his show pigs because they’re such a big part of his story, and I love that this mini senior session reflects who he is.

We ended the evening with some portraits by the pond during golden hour, and I seriously love how this whole session came together.

Best of luck to Braden & everyone else heading into fair week! I can’t wait to see all the hard work pay off. 💙🌅🐖
