A lot of what I do and offer, I do out of enjoyment or as a kindness.
Others photographers:
•charge just to show up to an event
•charge parents for coverage of their child
•charge for access to the photos and have a passkey for the album
Meanwhile I show up, shoot, and gladly share publicly. I may make $0-45 on an event through the paper if I'm lucky. **I do NOT choose who is put into the paper. I submit photos for my boss to choose** So, please remember that what I do may not seem like much, but this is how I try to make a living right now in addition to being a parent.
I'm always:.
•willing to work with people on prices
•often undercharging what I should because I understand life is hard
•whether it be a teenager or a child, I ask if it's okay for me to touch their arms or hair to reposition them
•do a few extra shots that suit their personality
But I am at my limit with nastiness.
