🐯🏈 HOMETOWN SUPPORT HITS DIFFERENT 🏈🐯

This is EXACTLY what Hometown Media Day is about.

It’s not just about putting on the uniform and taking some cool pictures. It’s about the community behind these kids. The businesses that see them, support them, and show up for them.

And Taco Bell supports these boys. 🖤💛

So OF COURSE we had to stop and show them some love during our walk through Bellevue!

These boys will remember the Friday nights, the teammates, the wins, the losses and all the crazy memories in between — but I hope they also remember the hometown that stood behind them through it all.

🐯🖤💛 BELLEVUE TIGERS — HOMETOWN MEDIA DAY

THIS is the stuff I wanted!!!

Not perfect little lines.
Not everybody looking at the camera.
Not everybody doing the same pose.

THEM. 😂🔥

We tried serious. We tried tough. We tried organized… and then somebody ended up laid completely across the stairs. 🤦‍♀️🤣

And you know what? THOSE are the pictures I love.

Because years from now, they’re not just going to remember what jersey number they wore. They’re going to remember these boys. The locker room. The jokes. The chaos. The friendships. And what it felt like to be a Bellevue Tiger. 🐯

Some of these boys I’ve been photographing for YEARS — football, baseball, basketball and everything in between. Watching them grow up through my camera is something pretty dang special. 🥹

And that black & white with the cheerleaders mixed in?! 😭🖤 That one feels like a yearbook photo they’re going to pull out 20 years from now and tell STORIES about.

This is hometown.

This is Bellevue.

This is THEIR time. 🖤💛🐯

Okay, THIS ONE might be my favorite. 😂😭

When I came up with the idea for Hometown Media Days, THIS is exactly what I meant. Not a backdrop. Not the same poses everybody has seen a hundred times.

Their town. Their businesses. Their personalities. Their memories. 🖤💛

And when Gold Star has a giant CINCY GLIZZY sign hanging in the window… obviously we have to use it. 🤣🌭

The pose.
The straight face.
The “shhhh.” 🤫
The pink mouthguard just casually hanging there.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. 😂🔥

Years from now, these kids are going to look back at these pictures and remember exactly what Bellevue looked like, where they hung out, where they ate, and what it felt like growing up a Tiger.

THAT is the whole reason behind Hometown Media Days. 🖤💛🐯

The full uniform. Helmet ON. Sitting in a Gold Star booth studying that menu like there’s film on the other team in it. 😭🏈🌭

And THE EYES over the top?! 💀

This needs a caption like:

My man is in full pads trying to figure out whether the 3-way is the move or if he needs to audible to the coneys. 🤣🤣

THIS is why the Hometown Media Days are so fun. We can get the hard, serious football shots all day long…

But THESE?! These are the ones they're going to pull out ten years from now and absolutely DIE laughing over. 🖤💛

But THIS is exactly why I wanted to do Hometown Media Days.

Years from now, he won’t just have another senior football picture. He’ll have a picture of himself, in his uniform, at a place that was part of his town during his senior year.

Because eventually the uniform gets turned in.
The season ends.
Senior year becomes a memory.

But Bellevue will always be part of his story. 🖤💛

And apparently today… #71 is working the drive-thru. 🤣🌭🏈

The crouch.
The point straight into the lens.
AND THAT MIRRORED VISOR?! 🥶

This feels like:

“Yeah. YOU. I’m talking to YOU.” 👉🏈

And I LOVE that you can still see the hometown setting behind him. This is exactly why the Hometown Media Day idea works—the photos have football hype, but they still feel like Bellevue. 🖤💛

No yelling.
No flexing.
No big celebration.

Just that mirrored visor, one finger up, and a whole lot of “say less.” 😮‍💨

There’s something about a black-and-white football portrait that just hits different, and this one feels straight-up LOCKED IN.

Quiet confidence is LOUD. 🐯🏈

And that visor? Yeahhhh… this one has attitude all over it. 🔥

Some of these boys… I’ve been taking their pictures for a LONG time. 🥹🖤💛

And not just under the Friday night lights.

I’ve caught them on the baseball field. ⚾
On the basketball court. 🏀
On the football field. 🏈
Different uniforms. Different seasons. Different versions of themselves.

And somewhere along the way, you look through your camera and realize…

Man. These aren’t the little boys I started photographing anymore. 😭

They’re bigger. Stronger. Older. They’ve found their confidence. Their personalities have changed. Their game has changed.

And I’ve been lucky enough to have a front-row seat with a camera in my hand for part of it.

That’s why photos like THIS one hit me differently. 🥹

Because I don't just see the football player standing in front of me today.

I remember the kid from all those seasons before.

One day these uniforms will get hung up for the last time. The games will end. Everybody will grow up and go their separate ways.

But MAN… we're gonna have the pictures. 🖤📸

And THAT might be my favorite part of what I do.

Fists clenched.
Helmet strapped.
Whole body screaming “COME FIND OUT.” 😭🔥

Because somebody has to line up across from #60…

And I would just like to say:

Thoughts and prayers to that young man. 😂🙏

This is BIG MAN football.
No dancing. No cute pose.

Just “I'm coming through you.” 😤💪

He understood EXACTLY what that low angle was supposed to do.

Black & gold in her hands.
Bellevue across her heart.

And a smile that absolutely LIGHTS UP the picture. ✨

The football boys brought the yelling, the flexing, the stomping and about 47 celebrations I had to learn the names of. 🤣🏈

And the cheerleaders came through bringing the SUNSHINE. ☀️📣

Because Friday nights wouldn't be Friday nights without the girls on the sidelines bringing the spirit. 🖤💛
