I’m an adventurous homebody who loves hanging out with my dog (or any dogs really), trying to catch all the new movie releases, spending my free time hiking or climbing around beautiful national and state parks, and listening to Tiny Desk Concerts on repeat. Pro Tip: As we learned visiting both sides of the bridge on their wedding day, the Crissy Field side of the Presidio was much more shelter than the Baker Beach side. Results may vary :D⁠ ⁠

Okay, getting ready ⁠spaces can add a lot of character to a wedding day & Michelle found the dreamiest hotel to kick off the day. A worker at the hotel even grabbed a ladder and some zipties to help get this amazing photo of Michelle's dress.⁠

From there, we were able to get to the beautiful nature & intimate feel of The Mountain Terrace for their wedding. The mix of backdrops was SO much fun as a photographer.⁠

I'm finding more and more that being flexible during a session can really pay off. Like when we started off this adventure in some amazing Marin fog, but decided it'd be worth it to go find some sun - we got to get all the variety of light even if we spent a little more time driving. I'd say it was worth it. ⁠

Quick poll - do you like the shorter days in the winter or do you miss the long summer days? While I love a good adventure with lots of sunlight, I love staying cozy inside and having the dark sky as an excuse to stay in/watch movies/be a homebody. ⁠

What better way to celebrate your birthday than using it as an excuse to post photos from your favorite photographer 🥰

For this birthday, I got to spend the last weekend celebrating in Joshua Tree trying our luck at climbing within the park (spoiler: the ratings are tough but the sunsets are lovely as ever) and I’m spending today doing my favorite things - mostly spending with with my dog and my husband. My birthday gift to myself is usually just to take some time off and enjoy life or have an adventure ❤️ Here’s to 26!

Ally + Travis got married in Vegas over the weekend (excited to share those amazing photos!!) but then went straight to Utah & Arizona for an adventurous honeymoon after they tied the knot. I got to tag along for a sunrise bridal session a few days later exploring sand dunes in Southern Utah & getting some snuggly shots back at their adorable airstream rental. ⁠

To say I am OBSESSED with these photos and this adventure is maybe an understatement. Congrats A + T and thanks for being down for all the exploring!!⁠

P + C met up with me at sunrise around the lake for an incredibly colorful bit of blue hour, before the sun started to rise. Having just driven through this spot on a weekend during the afternoon a few weeks back when the roads were crazy and the trails were full, it was surreal how calm and quiet our morning adventure was. There were hardly any other people out that morning, which made the adventure that much more magical.⁠

P.S. If you have fun ideas for your session, ALWAYS feel free to bring them up or incorporate them into the day. It's one way to make your photos extra unique or challenge your photographer creatively. Like with these pixie lights Alex brought along! :)⁠

Not sure what shoes to wear for you elopement day? May I suggest converse. That's what Joanna did (with their date on the back of the shoes) & it made for the perfect adventure shoe. Though I'm not sure if they stayed quite as white after all the stream crossings and dirt trails. Definitely worth it though! ⁠
