I can't believe this young man just graduated from high school! (Watching kids you know grow up will make you feel old real fast!) But seriously, Bradley has grown up to be someone I know his parents are extremely proud of!

We decided to do the girls' annual pictures at Red Gables in Central. I have a LOT more to go through and edit but I wanted to show some behind the scenes. (The video is taken at a slightly different angle). We definitely made some memories. I can't believe how beautiful and grown up they are! More to come later...

In the 90's, we had Glamour Shots (is that still a thing?) I remember for my 10th birthday, my mom took me to the mall. I got my hair teased and curled, my makeup done, and I got to pick a blush-pink wrap to wear and a white jacket, and another black one covered in gold beads. I look back on the pictures and think about how much times have changed. But I do know that one day I felt like a princess. That was such a rough time in my life. My self-esteem was lacking, and I didn't think I was beautiful. I was surprised my mom even did this for me because she was never big on makeup.

Honestly, I didn't need all the makeup or my hair done or the fancy clothes to show me that I was beautiful. It was the experience itself. It was how I was loved on. It was how the photographer made me feel.

I was so happy that my own daughter was able to have this experience for herself. It was a great way to showcase her passion for dance. For her to see herself as other people see her. For her to be hyped up and loved on.

Yes, I love to take beautiful pictures. I love capturing all the moments and being able to express myself artistically. But what really fulfills me is getting to love on other people, and to show them a part of themselves they might have a hard time seeing.

If you have a pre-teen or a teen who you think would love to have an experience like this, I would love to be able to help make that happen. I can help you pick out outfits or even get a dress rental. I really think all girls deserve to have that one day that makes them feel like a princess.
