There’s something so special about a wedding day out in the country, where the fields stretch wide, the barn stands quietly in the background, and the whole day feels wrapped in soft light and slow moments. Watching the wedding party wander through the grass in their cowboy boots, laughing between portraits, felt dreamy in the most effortless way. Every detail was warm, rustic, and full of intention, but it was the feeling of the day I’ll remember most, honest love, open skies, and the kind of memories that settle deep into your heart long after the sun goes down. 🌾

Sometimes the best shots come when you’re just rolling with it… pro tips for engagement shoots ahead! 👇📸

A few tips for photographers shooting engagement sessions:
• Focus on connection before perfection
• Give prompts instead of stiff poses
• Shoot during golden hour whenever possible
• Capture movement — walking, laughing, fixing hair, opening car doors, etc.
• Don’t forget the detail shots (rings, hands, reflections, little moments)
• Keep the couple talking to each other, not staring at the camera the whole time
• And most importantly: make the session feel like a date, not a photoshoot 🤍
