So I've been meaning to get these done and uploaded since I took these, but alot has come up since then causing me to sidetrack a bit and delay getting these done. I finally got a chance to work on them again and get them done. These are my pictures that I took of the TOTAL BLOOD LUNAR ECLIPSE on the night of 5-15-2022. I hope you enjoy them.

So my girlfriend and I ventured out for a little while last night to see if we could get treated to good display of the Northern Lights. Unfortunately we really didn't see much. The Aurora was low on the horizon and faint, barely visible when we got out around 8:30pm. We sat out watching for a couple of hours until around 10:30pm. The data wasn't looking very favorable with bz staying mainly positive so we decided to call it a night and went back home. I guess we missed out on the big part of the display from around 2am till sunrise this morning when things really got going. I didn't take a whole lot for pictures last night compared to what I normally would but then again we were only out for a couple of hours. Here's a few shots from last night. The first picture was taken around 8:30pm and the last one was a nice parting shot with a bright fireball screaming through the atmosphere a little after 10pm.

Though I did not venture outside of town to watch the Northern Lights Display last night, I did however walk out to our Apartment parking lot for a couple of minutes and managed to see them and snap a couple of quick pictures. Not a bad display to be able to see them inside of town!

I might get a chance to get out and do a little storm chasing later on today. Until then here's a throwback from a storm that I chased a few years ago. This storm was severe warned when I started chasing it but quickly went tornado warned and was spinning pretty rapidly when I took this picture. It was very close to touching down and then quickly lost its strength just after this picture was taken.

An explosive dangerous tornadic supercell north of Fargo, ND on July 11th, 2017. There were reported tornadoes on the ground by Reed Timmer Extreme Meteorologist and other storm chasers on this storm around the time that I captured this photo.
