The WDC 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball teams kicked off their season yesterday hosting Parkers Prairie at the WDC Elementary Gym. The Wolverine 7th Grade rolled to an easy win while the 8th Grade dropped their opener in a close three set loss. The 7th and 8th grade teams will be back in action on Thursday as they host Sebeka at the WDC Elementary Gym.

WDC Tennis drops close match with Park Rapids 4-3.

The Wolverines were edged by Park Rapids, 4-3, on the first day of school. The No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams both defeated their opponents in straight sets without either duo giving up a game in the second set. It was an extra special win for No. 2 doubles player junior Genevieve Pinnella who was also celebrating her 16th birthday today. Sophomore Cadie Leeseberg picked up the third Wolverine win at No. 3 singles.

The Wolverines will be hosting the event tomorrow afternoon at the pristine Whitetail Run Golf Course in Wadena. A beautiful 80 degrees at kickoff, The WDC Cross Country Team delivering the game ball, and a packed house welcomed by the smells of burgers sizzling at the Wadena Lions Club grill tent. WDC Football kicked off the 2022 season in style with a blowout win over Staples-Motley.
