For , this is Daisy. Back in 2018, I found her running around the countryside on a dusty back road, about a mile or two from any house.

She smelled like she'd been eating roadkill, and had ticks stuck all over her. I took her in, cleaned her up, and never looked back. She's a real outdoor dog (no, seriously, she doesn't want to ever come in), and is extremely food motivated.

Today, Daisy is a tripod (she did a dance with a car and lost a back leg), but you wouldn't know by how fast she hauls after the squirrels she's constantly waging war with.

Something about this 🌵bloom caught my eye, and it wasn't that beetle burrowing around in the pollen.

The way the light caught the bloom and pollen emits a glow around the flower, as you can see in the first photo.

The second photo is from before the bloom opened up. 🌼
