On April 12, I asked myself one simple question:
How do I track the flight hours on my drones now that DJI doesn’t make it easy anymore?
That was the day the idea for DroneHQ™ was born.
At the time, it didn’t have a name. It wasn’t a platform. It wasn’t a business system. It was simply a problem I needed solved as a drone pilot.
That one question turned into flight tracking, fleet management, aircraft and battery records, DJI flight-log importing, the DroneHQ Sync Agent, maintenance tools, reports, customer workflows, and eventually something much bigger than I originally imagined.
And today, another major piece of that foundation is complete:

✅ Microsoft 365 API
✅ DroneHQ Internal Email System
✅ Stripe API
These integrations give DroneHQ the foundation for business email, calendar workflows, automated communications, customer messages, invoicing, payments, subscriptions, receipts, and billing management.
And that infrastructure connects into the larger DroneHQ platform:
Flight management and flight history
Aircraft and battery management
Pilot and fleet management
Customer and job management
Digital Preflight workflows
Estimates, invoicing, payments, and revenue tracking
Reports and operational records
DJI flight-log syncing and processing
DroneHQ intelligence and automation
Organization-level permissions and security
The goal has become much bigger than building another drone logbook.
DroneHQ is being built as one connected operating platform for professional drone operations — from the first customer request to the job, pilot, aircraft, battery, Preflight, flight, report, invoice, and payment.
It’s pretty incredible to look back at that first question from April 12 and see what it has become.
But even though DroneHQ has grown far beyond that original idea, the purpose hasn’t changed:
Build the tools drone operators actually need.
There’s still plenty of work ahead, but another major piece of the foundation is now in place.
