The most authentically crafted wedding weekend in New York from last spring. A family-only ceremony in Central Park, welcome drinks on the Hudson River, & a reception dinner at an intimate restaurant. When I had my first call with Eliza, she shared that she never could picture herself in the typical long white dress or having a “traditional” wedding. Instead, they were married in the park, carrying on a family tradition, since her parents also chose a quiet park ceremony years ago.

This weekend really shows that you can craft your celebration to feel right for you, leaving behind the aspects that don’t fit.

I love that gathering around a table is such a meaningful part of each wedding day. No matter what your table looks like, it’s where a delicious meal is served and cocktails and wine are shared. It’s where people catch up after not seeing family for years, or meet someone new for the first time. Food and good conversation are at the heartbeat of any celebration.
