🎵 NEW RELEASE: Take Me Higher

I wrote Take Me Higher after spending several days studying the book of Revelation, and it completely changed my perspective.

For many people, Revelation has become a book associated with fear. But I discovered that its message is actually one of hope.

The apostle John wrote Revelation while exiled on the island of Patmos during the reign of the Roman Empire, the world’s superpower at the time. He was writing to the seven house churches in Asia, where believers were surrounded by political pressure, persecution, idolatry, and uncertainty. They were struggling with everything happening around them, just as many of us do today.

God’s answer wasn’t to tell John to focus on Rome.

Instead, He invited him higher.

“Come up here…”
Revelation 4:1

From heaven’s perspective, John saw something completely different. He saw the throne of God. He saw the Lamb who reigns. He was reminded who God is, who God’s people are, and where history is ultimately headed.

That revelation inspired this song.

I believe God’s invitation is still the same today. In a world filled with fear, division, confusion, and competing voices, He is calling us to lift our eyes above the headlines and see from heaven’s perspective.

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…”
Isaiah 40:31

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
Colossians 3:2

“We are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken.”
Hebrews 12:28

If you’re a follower of Jesus, remember this:

You are not alone.

Around one-third of the world’s population identifies as Christian, representing approximately 2.3 billion believers across every continent and nearly every nation. We have brothers and sisters in Christ around the globe facing many of the same spiritual battles, yet together we are one family, united by the hope of the Gospel.

Remember:
✝️ Who you are.
❤️ Whose you are.
đź‘‘ And where you are going.

My prayer is that Take Me Higher encourages you to lift your eyes, trust God’s sovereignty, and walk in His peace.

❤️ KINGDOM WOMAN ❤️

For as long as I can remember, God has given me songs before He gives me messages, and music has become one of the ways I share my testimony.

Over a year ago, I was asked to speak to a group of single women about what a Kingdom woman looks like. Before I shared my heart that evening, I introduced them to a song I had written called Kingdom Woman.

Today, I’m honored to finally release it, and I pray it encourages your heart wherever you are on your journey.

This song isn’t about perfection.

It’s about becoming the woman God created you to be.

A woman who trusts Him in the waiting…

Who worships Him in every season…

Who chooses faith over fear…

Who prays when no one else sees…

Who walks in humility…

Who loves with courage…

Who encourages others to fulfill God’s calling on their lives.

And for the men listening, my prayer is that this song reminds you that God is still writing your story too. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you, and He often places people in our lives who strengthen us through prayer, encouragement, and steadfast faith as we pursue His calling.

“The heart of her husband safely trusts her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”
Proverbs 31:11-12

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16

“Strength and dignity are her clothing; she laughs without fear of the future. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
Proverbs 31:25-26

These closing lyrics continue to remind me that God never wastes a season:

“Every waiting turned to purpose,
Every trial into gold.
This is what a Kingdom Woman’s made for:
To cover her king
’Til destiny unfolds.”

My prayer is that this song reminds you that no season is wasted in the hands of God. He has a purpose for every prayer, every tear, every act of obedience, and every season of waiting. Even when we cannot yet see what He is unfolding, He is still at work.

May your waiting become purpose.

May your trials become testimony.

May your faith grow stronger.

And may your life reflect hope, courage, and the love of our King.

May God richly bless you. ❤️

With gratitude,

Debra Avey

🎉 It’s here! 🎉

I’m so excited to share that my new song, Love Pursues Me, is now streaming on Spotify! ❤️

This song was born from a powerful revelation as I studied Scripture. From the very beginning in the Garden of Eden to the cross, and through the Holy Spirit today, I realized that God’s love has always been pursuing us. Even when we wander, He never stops reaching for us.

My prayer is that this song reminds you that you are seen, known, and deeply loved by the One who has never stopped pursuing your heart.

❤️ Follow me on Spotify so you’ll be notified whenever I release new music.
❤️ Share this song with someone who needs to be reminded today that God’s love is pursuing them too.

Thank you for listening, sharing, and being part of this journey. My prayer is that every song points people back to the heart of Jesus.

🌧️ SEND THE RAIN 🌧️

Today my new song, “Send the Rain,” was officially released, and I wanted to share the story behind it.

For most of my life, I lived with a mindset of striving.

As a single mom, I worked multiple jobs, built businesses, served in ministry, and did everything I knew how to do to provide for my children. I wasn’t just trying to meet today’s needs. I was laboring day and night to build a legacy for the next generation. I carried the weight of making sure everyone was cared for, believing that if I worked hard enough, sacrificed enough, and never gave up, somehow I could produce the harvest I was praying for.

I wasn’t striving because I didn’t trust God.

I was striving because I loved my family, loved the Lord, and wanted to be faithful with everything He had entrusted to me.

Then the Lord stopped me in Deuteronomy 11.

He showed me something I had never seen before.

When Israel lived in Egypt as slaves, even their agriculture reflected a life of bo***ge. They depended on carrying water from the Nile to irrigate their fields. Their harvest depended upon exhausting human effort. It was a picture of striving.

In many ways, our culture still celebrates that same mindset. We glorify busyness, hustle, self-reliance, and the belief that if we just work harder, stay up later, and carry more, we’ll eventually produce the life we’re longing for. We become slaves to performance, achievement, and the pressure to make everything happen ourselves.

But when God brought His people into the Promised Land, He wasn’t just changing where they lived. He was changing how they would live. He was teaching them to depend on Him instead of their own strength.

“The land you are crossing over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.”
Deuteronomy 11:11-12

That verse changed my life.

The Promised Land wasn’t a land without work. It was a land without striving.

They still had to sow the seed.
They still had to tend the fields.
But they no longer had to carry the water.

They had to trust the God who sends the rain.

That revelation changed me.

I realized how much of my life had been spent carrying things that belonged to God.

That’s why I hold so tightly to the promises of Scripture and spend time studying His Word every day. His Word renews my mind. It reminds me who God is and who I am. It helps me surrender instead of control, trust instead of strive, and praise instead of panic.

I’ve discovered that peace isn’t found when I finally get everything done.

Peace is found when I stop carrying what belongs to God.

My responsibility is to faithfully sow whatever seed He places in my hands.

His responsibility is the rain.

“Be glad then… for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain.”
Joel 2:23

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”
1 Corinthians 3:6

“But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”
Deuteronomy 8:18

That is why I serve such a good, good Father.

His burden truly is light, and His yoke truly is easy.

When we surrender what only God can do, we’re finally free to faithfully do what He has called us to do.

This song is my prayer for anyone who feels exhausted from trying to carry what only God was meant to carry.

Keep sowing.

Keep trusting.

Keep praising.

He will send the rain. 🌧️🌾

🎉 Today is extra special because not only am I celebrating my birthday, but my newest song, Lift A Sound (This Is How The Battle Is Won), officially released today!

This song holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the very first songs I wrote when I launched Three Strands Productions. It was born out of a deep conviction that God is calling this generation back to worship, back to His presence, and back to a sound that honors Him.

Throughout Scripture, worship always came before the victory. When King Jehoshaphat sent the worshippers out ahead of the army, God fought the battle for them:

“Give thanks to the Lord, for His faithful love endures forever.” (2 Chronicles 20:21)

That same truth still stands today.

So on my birthday, I’m lifting my hands and celebrating God’s faithfulness, His promises, and every victory He has brought in my life. This song is my declaration of gratitude and my invitation to others to lift a sound of praise in every season.

If you’ve ever walked through a battle and seen God come through for you, this song is for you. 🙌

Love has a way of finding us when we least expect it—but often not before teaching us how to wait.

I’m so excited to share “Love Will Find a Way” on Spotify:

At its heart, this song is about hope, faith, perseverance, and trusting that what is meant for you will arrive in God’s perfect timing.

What makes this song especially meaningful to me is that it reflects so much of my own journey. There were seasons when I wondered if the promises in my heart would ever come to pass. Seasons of waiting, growing, healing, and learning to trust God even when I couldn’t see what He was doing behind the scenes. Along the way, I discovered that waiting is never wasted. It shapes us, strengthens us, and prepares us for the blessings we’re praying for.

“Love Will Find a Way” is more than a song about love—it’s a testimony of faith, patience, and the beauty of trusting the process. It’s a reminder that sometimes the greatest lessons are learned in the waiting, and that God’s plans are always worth trusting.

If you’ve ever found yourself holding on to hope, believing for something greater, or learning to trust the journey one step at a time, I believe this song will speak to your heart.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait for you to listen to “Love Will Find a Way.”

There are seasons in life when God plants something in our hearts long before we see it with our eyes.

A promise.
A calling.
A dream.
A ministry.
A breakthrough.

For many of us, the waiting season can feel longer than we expected. We pray, believe, prepare, and wonder if anything is happening at all.

But just because we can’t see growth doesn’t mean God isn’t working beneath the surface.

I wrote It’s Time To Give Birth as a reminder that God is faithful to finish what He starts. What He has conceived, He intends to bring forth in His perfect timing.

If you’ve been carrying a promise, standing in faith, or waiting for God to fulfill something He spoke to your heart, I pray this song encourages you to keep believing.

I’d love to hear what promise you’re believing God for. ❤️

🎶 NEW RELEASE: INTERCESSOR 🎶

For the last three years, I have prayed for someone I love deeply.

Not just occasional prayers, but daily prayers.

Prayers for protection.
Prayers for wisdom.
Prayers for strength.
Prayers for God’s favor, direction, and purpose to be fulfilled in his life.

During that journey, I gained a much deeper understanding of what it means to be an intercessor.

An intercessor is someone who stands in the gap for another person, carrying them before the Lord when they are strong, when they are weary, when they are winning battles, and when they are facing challenges no one else can see.

This song was born out of those prayers.

It’s a reminder that sometimes the greatest expression of love is not what we say, but how faithfully we pray for someone when no one is watching.

Whether you’re a parent praying for a child, a spouse praying for your husband or wife, a friend praying for someone you care about, or simply standing in faith for a loved one, I pray this song encourages you.

Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Sometimes the most important battles are won on our knees.

❤️ INTERCESSOR is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms.

Watching this live from across the nation this morning with tears in my eyes. 🇺🇸🔥

As voices rise in Washington DC for the National Jubilee of Prayer and Praise and the re-dedication of America back to God, my heart is overwhelmed listening to “Thunder In My Bones” release into the world at this exact moment.

I wrote this song as a special tribute to this day and what it represents for our nation. It was inspired by the book of Habakkuk and written as a cry for revival in America… a prayer that God would breathe on this nation once again.

This moment carries deep meaning for me personally because of the roots connected to both of our families.

My ancestors left England and came to America on the Mayflower seeking religious freedom, later signing the Mayflower Compact. And someone who holds a very special place in my heart, Michael Thornton ❤️, carries a legacy tied directly to the founding of this nation as his great-great-great grandfather, Matthew Thornton, was the final signer of the Declaration of Independence.

So for us, this song is more than music.
It is a reminder that the foundations of America were rooted in faith, sacrifice, prayer, and the pursuit of freedom to worship God.

“Thunder In My Bones” represents the sound of awakening echoing through generations… calling this nation back to the heart of God. 🇺🇸⚡️

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

As you listen to this song today, remember… the battle is won in worship. When we humble ourselves before the Lord and lift our voices in praise, Heaven moves and God fights for His people.

This is a monumental moment for our nation. There is something deeply significant that happens when people come together in unity, prayer, and worship. When our voices rise together across every city, every town, every state, and every nation… chains break, hearts heal, and hope is restored.

My prayer today is that people across America and throughout the nations of the earth would come together again in faith, humility, love, and purpose. May revival thunder through this land and across the world once again. 🔥🌎🇺🇸
