Rebecca and Matt asked us for a day of bourbon and lace, and that's exactly what they got.

They got married at The Farm at Dover in Dover, Wisconsin, in late August, right as the garden past the barn was still going full tilt with ripening tomatoes and thick summer herbs. Rebecca carried dried wheat in her bouquet instead of the usual late-summer blooms, and Matt tucked a stalk of it into his lapel, tipping the whole day a few weeks ahead into harvest season.

One highlight: in the front row of the ceremony sat one empty chair, with Rebecca's late father's cowboy hat resting on it in his place. He passed away 23 years ago, and Rebecca's sister walked her down the aisle instead. It was quiet, and it was one of the more affecting things we've photographed all year.

Some weddings you say yes to before you've even thought it through.

Kar-Kate and Zach got married at Northwoods Retreat, a private camp property on the Wolf River in White Lake, WI - ten miles from where they got ready at Silver Birch Ranch. It's not a venue open to just anyone; Zach's connection to the camp is what made the day possible, and it gave everything a different kind of meaning.

One highlight: a tea ceremony honoring Kar-Kate's family, where she and Zach shared tea with parents and grandparents and received their blessings. Super sweet and meaningful!

Tommasina and Casey got married on Casey's family farm outside Oshkosh, 170 acres along the Fox River that's been in the family for generations. Horses in the pasture right next to the tent, ceremony at the edge of a marsh and a live string band playing through the whole thing - all on beautiful land.

Our favorite detail: after the reception wound down, they canoed across the lake to a cabin only reachable by water, and spent their first night as a married couple there (see drone shot from above).

We shoot a lot of weddings on venues built to feel like a family farm - this one truly was!

Tucked away beneath the pines of Door County, Boynton Chapel feels a little bit like stepping into a fairytale. Gillian and James chose this tiny stone chapel for their vows, and the moment the doors closed behind them, the world outside seemed to go quiet. Just the creak of the wooden pews, soft light pouring through the hand-painted windows, and two people promising each other forever.

There’s something powerful about a space this intimate. No distractions, no grand production—just presence. You can hear every laugh, see every tear, and feel every hand squeeze. It’s in these quiet corners and in-between moments that a wedding day’s true story unfolds.

If your dream day looks a little like this—charming, cozy, heartfelt, surrounded by only your favorite people—this is where we love to be most.
