My concept of BTE, aka Big T***y Energy, came to me while I was watching a Dolly Parton interview.

The male host made an inappropriate comment about Dolly’s chest, but instead of getting angry, she redirected with a joke that left him powerless. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

She never gave up her power. She never let anyone make her feel lesser than by putting her at the butt of a joke without her consent. She knew her power belonged to her.

It wasn’t about the size of her chest; it was all about the energy she brought to the world. That energy provides millions of books to kids so they can read with their family. That energy has given us all a grandmother figure. That energy decided being a billionaire wasn’t it; taking care of people, her community, and her loved ones was far more important. The energy built a safe place for all walks of life to feel loved.

The world will always find a way to comment on our physical features as women. To diminish our energy, our light, and make it the butt of a joke, but only if we let it. It’s not our physical assets that define us; it’s the energy we harness that changes the world.

Let’s embrace our BTE ladies; we each have it. It’s not the size of your ta ta’s; it’s the energy you bring to the world. So channel your inner Dolly and own it. 🦋

You’re never too old to road trip with your mom

Yesterday Darlene aka my Mom and I road tripped from WNY to VA and we kicked it off with Tim Hortons U.S. of course.

10+ hours in the car with my mom? Yes please! A day I’ll never forget, with one of my most favorite humans.

I’m insanely lucky to call this gem of a woman, my mom. I’m even more fortunate she’s become my best friend.

Also we are all now aware of where my silly humor comes from!
