STORY TIME..
Moly and Zach planned their engagement session in Cape Charles, my fave place for beach session because we catch those west coast sunsets over the water here on the east coast.
If you have booked a session with me ever you know that my eyes are always on the radar. Not a single point durning the day was a worried about the weather. Fast forward to about 3 mins to that start of their session begins, the sky start sprinkling a little sun shower and stops. And in the distance to left and right of us, we can see rain. And the sky behind us, the darkness clouds I have ever seen with lighting , thankfully moving far away from us. Above us clear as day.
With the break in the rain we set our worry’s aside. These two are having the time of their lives running and laughing when all of a sudden the craziest winds wipe through (the really reason those lightening clouds didn’t stick around). When I say crazy winds I mean INSANE. Sand was taking off into the air, waves swallowing the beach, our hair and clothing were attempting to leave our beings, all while the sun is shining. And these two embraced every second of it and looked hell good doing it too.
After about 5 minutes the air stood still and we were blessed with a calm blue hour evening with sunset peeking through the rest of the moody clouds. Full of laughter, spinning, heel kicks and kisses.
Moral of the story, we can pour everything into preparing and planning your session but somethings are just ultimately out of our control. If you have the courage to embrace it, and run with it (literally) you’ll have even a better story to tell then you imagined.
