Some couples just fit.

From the moment we met Andrew and Allie, it was obvious that their relationship is built on friendship, laughter, and genuinely enjoying life together. Whether they're exploring new places, spending time outdoors, cheering each other on at the gym, or simply enjoying a quiet day together, they make an incredible team.

Their wedding day began with a beautiful first look at Elizabethan Gardens and continued with a stunning waterfront celebration at Vista Creek in Manteo, North Carolina. Every part of the day reflected who they are—joyful, adventurous, and deeply committed to one another.

One of my favorite things about this couple is how naturally they complement each other. Andrew brings a steady strength and protection, while Allie brings warmth, kindness, and a heart that cares deeply for others. Watching them together, it's easy to see why everyone around them loves them so much.

Andrew & Allie, thank you for trusting us with your memories. It was truly an honor to celebrate alongside you and document the beginning of this new chapter.

Confession: I am 100% the person who gets excited about flat lays. 😂

The rings? Love them.

The invitation suite? Obsessed.

The florals? Don’t even get me started.

There is something so satisfying about taking all the little pieces of a wedding day and creating images that tell the story before the story even begins.

Nerdy? Maybe.

Worth it? Absolutely

🌦️ Sometimes the weather wins... at least for a little while. 😂

After what felt like an endless stretch of crazy weather, Ethan + Colleen’s session finally happened—and it was so worth the wait.

These two are seriously the sweetest. From the moment we started walking through First Landing State Park, they were laughing, smiling, and completely enjoying being together. Honestly, photographing couples like this makes my job easy.

I’m so grateful we were able to reschedule and find a beautiful evening because these images perfectly capture this exciting season of their lives.

Ethan + Colleen, thank you for trusting me with these memories. What a joy it was to document your love story and celebrate this chapter with you both.

“Wasn’t this wedding just Saturday?” 😍✨

It was!

Sean + Brenna said “I do” on Saturday, and their wedding was on the blog less than 24 hours later!

What a beautiful day it was. From the waterfront views at Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites to the sweetest moments between these two, it was such an honor to document their story.

And can we talk about the wind?! 🌬️😂 Virginia Beach was definitely doing its thing. We had to pivot on some portrait plans, wait for calmer conditions, and trust the process. In the end, it was so worth it.

My favorite part of the day wasn’t even a photo—it was the speeches. Hearing stories about their relationship and the love their family has for them was incredibly special.

Sean + Brenna's beautiful waterfront wedding at Delta Hotels Virginia Beach is live on the blog!

From a heartfelt first look to emotional speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up, this wedding was filled with so many meaningful moments. Despite some of the strongest winds I've photographed, these two handled every twist in the day with grace, joy, and a whole lot of love.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was listening to Brenna's family share stories about her and Sean's relationship. Hearing her sister-in-law talk about knowing Brenna was the perfect match for her brother and listening to her father's heartfelt words reminded everyone why these two are so loved.

And can we talk about how stunning they both looked? 😍

A little sneak peek into Jack + Morgan’s engagement session by our beautiful associate photographer, Kelly. ☀️🌊

The beach gave the dreamiest atmosphere and these two made photographing them effortless. So much joy, tenderness, and genuine connection throughout this entire session.

We are obsessed with how these turned out. ✨

Some wedding days just stay with you… and Maxx + Jamie’s beautiful wedding at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth was absolutely one of them. 🤍

From the sweetest family moments, to the kids completely owning the dance floor, to the overwhelming love surrounding these two all day long — this wedding was such a beautiful reminder of what truly matters most.

And somehow… the rain held off perfectly for the entire celebration. 🙌🏻

One of my favorite parts of the evening was watching the adults and children laughing and dancing together. It felt so genuine, joyful, and full of life — the kind of moments you simply can’t stage.

We are so thankful we had the honor of capturing this beautiful day for Maxx + Jamie!

These details deserved their own moment 🥹✨

One thing I always remind couples is that beautiful photographs are not about having “more stuff” — they’re about preserving meaningful moments and memories well.

This sweet couple honestly didn’t provide a huge amount of details to photograph, and yet I was SO impressed with how these images turned out. It became such a beautiful reminder that creativity often comes from slowing down, looking intentionally, and finding the meaningful little pieces woven throughout the day.

From reception touches to ceremony details and the atmosphere surrounding them, there were still so many ways to tell their story beautifully and make the memories feel alive. ❤️

Sometimes it’s not about having the most elaborate setup…it’s about seeing the beauty that’s already there.
