Many of you know, I fostered a dog for the holidays… this is how it started (at the shelter) VS this is how it’s going (at my house). I walked into the Norfolk Animal Care Center on November 25th unsure about what dog I’d be leaving with, but told them “I want the one who has been neglected, is in isolation, that everyone over looks and is in desperate need of love and care.” I don’t care about the breed. The size. The age. No I can’t “pick ONE out” because I want to save them all, “I need you to pick one out for me.” Everyone, meet Maple. The saddest dog in the shelter with a plethora of physical, mental and emotional issues, has secured her “safe haven” under my roof while we navigate her road to recovery TOGETHER. In the darkest of times this dog never gave up, even after the 99 curveballs thrown her way. Her story is not over yet, but we have successfully conquered almost EVERY obstacle and misfortune.
WHY I’M HERE: to do my part and help make the world a better place by providing some sort of comfort to these animals. You see, like little Maple here and her shelter friends at , they are welcomed with your donated items and find comfort in them while residing in a place they otherwise didn’t choose. Many shelters (if not all) rely on donations to keep up with the daily intake of lost, found, seized, or surrendered animals. Of course new items, unopened food, and money are welcome with open arms, but gently used and clean items are equally as important BUT, this is my NEW YEARS RESOLUTION:
The first week of EVERY month, I will be dropping off a truckload of donations for the animals at the shelter. A feel good, free, and generous act can help animals who can not care for themselves and aid the shelters providing housing and care for them. Call me. Text me. Message me (I’ll be sure to start checking those 😅). Email me. Throw things at me. Do whatever you gotta do to get my attention to snag those old blankets, towels or donations from you. A giant THANK YOU in advance from myself and the furry friends you lovingly help. ❤️❤️❤️. Can’t donate? No problem, feel free to share this post. (another free act of kindness).

I usually post a “sneak story carousel” one week after a wedding… BUT I just could NOT keep these to myself.
A beautiful couple, at a gorgeous venue, resulted in dreamy photos ❤️📸😍 you ever get choked up or “feel” the emotion in a photograph? There’s a couple of those in this sneak story. You can see and feel the love these two have for each other just by the way they look at one another. Oh my heart.

How’s the saying go, “a little rain on your wedding day is good luck?” Well these two are on their way to a long lasting, strong, and prosperous life together full of that good luck…
It was beautiful. It was full of love. It was wet, but it was not about to put a damper on these two or their family and friends. This love knows no boundaries.
