This crow had a lot to say to me today and was super cool with me hanging out with it for a few minutes. Very interesting birds and if you can get the contrast right they are cool to photograph as well! At Back Bay NWR today.

I have made a big update to my online print gallery and it is now live. Check out my one stop shop for curated, coastal-themed, ocean Inspired art on canvas, metal, framed and unframed prints, and acrylic blocks.

I have expanded the print options, and simplified the website navigation for all of my favorites images to be purchased and shipped directly to you. My 2027 calendar preorder will be launching soon as well.

Taking in the scenes in Cape Hatteras. I can’t tell you how good it feels to be out doing photography again.

On a side note, my camera strap broke yesterday and most expensive lens and camera went crashing down flat on the boardwalk. It landed super hard and somehow nothing broke. The lens had a hood that absorbed the impact and the camera landed on the rubber view finder ring. I guess I really got lucky in that one. I took all these shots after that happened and have been using the camera all day so guess everything is fine…I am really rusty with handling my gear these days.

A Red-Winged Blackbird riding on the back of a Juvenile Bald Eagle. This is single image I took this afternoon at Mackay Island. No AI, taken by me 06-14-2026 with a Canon 200-800mm with R6. One of those shots that I will always look back on and say how the F did that happen?

A bit of electric sky, but no storm locally yet. This was just off in the distance with only a light rumble of thunder. Lucky shot on my part.

Jupiter, Venus, and a guy with a camera. I wonder if something is looking back. Maybe one day we will find out. 👀

Atlas V 551 Amazon Leo launching from Cape Canaveral. I caught a glimpse from my neighborhood right here in Virginia Beach. I was fighting the moon an cars driving with headlights right in my eyes, and navy jets flying thru the frame. Oh well such is life.
