Good times to get maternity photos done!!

The perfect time to get maternity photos done is typically between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. Here’s why this time frame is ideal. ( I will say I had mine at 25 and they were the cutest ever so this is just a suggestion because:

1. Visible Baby Bump: By the third trimester, your baby bump is prominently visible, providing a beautiful and well-defined shape for photos.

2. Comfort: Around 28 to 36 weeks, most women still feel relatively comfortable. This period is late enough for a noticeable bump but early enough to avoid the discomfort and potential complications of the last few weeks of pregnancy.

3. Flexibility: Scheduling your shoot in this window allows for some flexibility in case of unexpected early delivery or other anything else that might arise.

It’s important to consider your own comfort and pregnancy experience. If you’re having multiples or experiencing complications, you might want to schedule your photos earlier. Always consult with your photographer to plan the best time for your unique situation

At the end of the day the more relaxed and good you feel in your body the more you’ll love your photos. .

Some tips I use during a maternity session.
(Feel free to save for later! )

* For bouquets, take what earth gives you. I grab a bundle of anything that’s right there and just makeshift a bouquet together.

* Don’t worry about the hair getting messy. The wind blows the hair so beautifully when it’s to the back of the body or the side.

And finally

* Go barefoot. Their feet will thank you and it makes for such a beautiful, natural look.

Christmas cards session turned Magic. I have 3 boys so that comes super easy but when adorable little sisters show up in pretty dresses, I always try to soak that time up. I almost instantly grab wildflowers as we walk to the location and I prepare them for tons of twirls!
This sweet little family made my day. Thank you for choosing us. It was so much fun and I hope we get to do it again before the military throws us to the next adventure.

I got the chance to meet the sweetest family a couple weeks ago. I always love the chance to take photos of families and it doesn’t hurt to have a pretty beach to play on for the session either!

We were there running around the beach on one of the hottest days of the summer. We walked and played all the way up to the lighthouses. I have to tell you there's something so special about these two. She was full of smiles and I caught him looking at her with so much pride over and over. , I wish you both the most magical story and I thank you so much for letting me be a tiny part of it.

My cousins came in to visit and had absolutely no choice but to flirt around on the beach while I ran around snapping pictures of them. The weather has been way too perfect as sunset not to. They clearly sucked it up perfectly🤍.

I love you guys and miss you already.
