I was looking for some images to post for this cool trend and came across these gems again. These two. UGH. These are some of my most favorite images I have EVER taken. Even still. I’ll never be able to thank these two enough for really taking this experience and showing up for it fully. Letting me take a small peek into their world. I know I say this constantly but I will forever know the privilege I have for being trusted with such special amazing intimate beautiful moments. Fun fact: she did not tell him what kind of session she signed them up for 😅 but once he knew he was even more in. And boy can you tell.

Seems my posts are getting lost again because Meta hates me. I’m so tired of my art being censored so bad that people can’t even find me on socials unless they type out my full name. It’s exhausting when all I am trying to do is share my art with my followers who want to see it. I was scrolling through my work and these two images just so happened to be next to each other on my camera roll. It felt like I was looking at two different couples in two different chapters of their lives. But the passion is the same. The love is the same. So I wanted to you to see it too. So I posted on my story a couple days ago a vote for my next city to visit. I need to pick four for next year because it’s already about to be month 8. And that’s wild to me. Anyway, Kansas City was super loud about me coming back for another visit! What are we thinking? Kansas City round two?!?!

I took this image 5 days after I found out I have uterine cancer. My clients for the very next weekend in Denver were so kind. I did a lot of solos with women who somehow connected to my news. It goes to show how common stories like mine are and yet you never see it talked about. At least not enough. But when I directed this image with my client I felt like I was portraying how I was feeling. And I am curious? What does this make you feel?

Something that I’ve learned so far from this season of life I am in is sometimes you don’t always have to be the light. Sometimes you can embrace the darkness if it gets you into the next day. Just sitting with all of your feelings is the only way through. And I’ve noticed that with my work lately I’ve leaned even further into darker and moodier vibes.
