For twenty two years I have had the honor of capturing love stories for couples all over the country and beyond! I have witnessed so many beginnings and so many moments that changed lives. But THIS one will forever hold its own special place in my heart!!

Thirteen miles round trip through the Shenandoah forest. Definitely a little more than I expected. My legs were burning, my body is still sore, and I absolutely pushed myself farther than I thought I could. But, I assure you, every single grueling mile was worth it!!

My youngest son, Dylan, took some leave and flew home for a visit. He told his girlfriend, Jhosselin, that I wanted to take some Twilight inspired photos for my portfolio. But… Dylan had been planning this moment quietly and carefully for a while now!

He wanted it to be perfect.
And it was!!!
It was everything!

We hiked deep into the forest, seeking out a waterfall we discovered online. It was the spot Dylan chose to ask Jhosselin to spend the rest of her life with him. We took a few photos of them together to get things rolling… and then it was time!!

I watched her face shift from surprise to disbelief, to pure joy as he knelt down on one knee at the top of Rose River Falls, held out a ring, and proposed. The anxious look on his face, the nervous shake of his hands, and then the big ol’ smile and thumbs up after she said, “YES” made my heart explode with love!!

Everyone around the waterfall stopped to watch. When she said yes, everyone cheered! Complete strangers celebrating a moment they instantly understood was pure and real. I stood there with happy tears running down my face as I realized Dylan definitely wasn’t a kid anymore. He’s all grown up and ready to take the next steps of his journey with Jhosselin right by his side. What a truly bittersweet moment!!

I love Jhosselin. I love her kindness, her sweetness, her never ending thoughtfulness, and the way she looks at my son like he is her whole world. I am absolutely thrilled to welcome her into our family!

CONGRATULATIONS, Dylan & Jhosselin!!! I am SO incredibly happy for you and can’t wait to follow along on your journey together. Thank you for letting me be a part of your beginning!

I’ve been staring at this collage of my life and feeling that familiar tug in my chest. The one that keeps reminding me why I do this. Why I chase light across state lines. Why I throw my gear in the car and follow love wherever it leads. Why I keep saying YES to the miles, the airports, the dirt roads, the oceans, the mountains, the strangers who become friends, and the stories that become part of me!!!

My world is built on moments that don’t wait.

The in-between.
The wind-shift.
The breath before the kiss.
The laughter that breaks open the whole room.
The quiet that says everything.

This year, I’m leaning FULLY into my travel era! The go-anywhere, meet-you-there, let’s-make-magic-in-a-place-that-means-something era. If your love story deserves a backdrop as wild, tender, or untamed as you are, I’m ready!!

If you’ve ever been to the top of Mt. Scott in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, then you already know… the wind up there does whatever it wants!!!

And when I say Kelly & Brandon got HIT with it during their session, I mean we were fighting for our lives a little bit!!!

Her long pink hair was whipping around in every direction, Brandon almost lost his hat at one point, and there were definitely moments where we all just looked at each other and started laughing because Mother Nature had clearly chosen chaos for the evening!!

But somehow… it WORKED!!!

The wild wind, the dramatic skies, the way these two looked at each other like nobody else existed around them… it all came together into something that felt raw, fun, and ridiculously real.

And their chemistry? Absolute fire!!

Some couples need a little warming up in front of the camera. Not these two. Kelly & Brandon were completely down for whatever crazy idea I threw at them, trusted the process, embraced the madness, and made my job so easy!

I do wish we could’ve stayed longer because the weather definitely cut our time short, but I’m so glad we pushed through long enough to create some magic anyway!!

Sometimes the sessions that don’t go perfectly end up creating the most memorable images.

The movement.
The laughter.
The windblown hair.
The almost-lost hat.
The way they held onto each other tighter every time another gust rolled through.

And honestly… I’m obsessed with how these turned out!!

Kelly & Brandon, thank you for rolling with the chaos, trusting my vision, and fully embracing the adventure with me. Sessions like this are the ones I end up thinking about long after they’re over!! I hope we get to do it all over again one day!!

Whaaaat??? Forty?! Yeah… Natashia is making 40 look ridiculously good!!!

We met up at Union Station in downtown OKC and from the second she stepped out in that HOT PINK lace corset dress, I already knew this session was going to be a whole vibe!! Confident, fun, playful, bold… exactly the kind of energy birthday sessions should have!

Now, there were a few obstacles before we even got started… construction traffic rerouted me all over the place making me late, and her balloons popped before Natashia even made it to the location. But did we let that ruin anything? Absolutely not!!

We pivoted, laughed about it, and kept rolling because life rarely goes according to plan… and adapting on the fly is basically my superpower at this point.

She didn’t need balloons anyway.

She brought the energy all by herself.

One of my favorite parts of the morning was getting to photograph her with her sweet little boy for a few moments too. In the middle of all the glam, laughter, and city bustle, those photos made my heart ridiculously happy!!

And then… she pulled out her roller skates!!

PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!

Roller skating was SUCH a huge part of my own childhood, so watching her skate around in those stunning leopard print skates had me smiling nonstop! And… wanting to get me a pair of my own!!

What I loved most about this session was that it wasn’t about trying to turn back time or fear getting older. It was about fully celebrating the woman she is right now!

Confident.
Beautiful.
Still fun as hell.
Still showing up fully as herself.
