Charlotte & Isaac’s wedding previews from June 6th at Norfolk Botanical Garden 🕊️

The morning started at Charlotte’s Mimi’s house, tucked away in Virginia Beach. It felt like something straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie: a white house, gorgeous landscaping surrounded by blooming hydrangeas, boats passing by the dock out back, and all the girls getting ready in the sunroom overlooking the pool and yard.

One of my favorite details, aside from all the artwork, was the laundry room, where they had recorded the heights of all the kids and grandkids on the wall over the years.

The venue itself was breathtaking. Norfolk Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places in the Hampton Roads area because of its stunning architecture and gardens, but photographing a wedding there takes it to an entirely different level.

Cocktail hour took place in the Statuary Vista as the sun began to set, with golden light cascading between the trees. The live saxophone and piano player added an extra layer of magic that made it feel like you were watching a movie unfold in real time.

The rest of the night was filled with dancing, crowd surfing, a bra somehow ending up stuck to the ceiling, and Charlotte and Isaac sending me off with the most heartfelt, gratitude-filled goodbye I have ever received. I literally got in my truck and cried because what they said hit me so hard.

What a breathtaking, scorching day spent documenting the love between these two.

I can’t wait to finish this entire collection because I know it’s going to be something special.

There’s been some new people showing up around here, so I figured I’d pop in, show my face, and introduce myself. Buckle up, this is a little long.

Hi! I’m Ariele! I decided to take the leap and start my own business in September of 2022. I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. Taking pictures of my friends, posting the most atrocious selfies with my dogs on MySpace, and falling in love with nature photography.

I started getting more serious about photography in 2018 when my husband bought me my first camera for my birthday. Then the following October, we got our golden, Goonie, and honestly, the story kind of wrote itself. Years of practicing, creating, learning, and adventuring. Just a girl and her Golden. Even now, if I’m learning a new skill or just want to go take photos, he’s still my number one guy and favorite muse. At this point, I probably have more photos of him than anything else while teaching myself photography. That’s why Goonie will always be part of my brand. He truly helped me realize this was my passion.

In 2024, I stepped into a world I never thought I’d have the guts to try: wedding photography. I photographed my first wedding in November of 2024, and since then, I’ve been captivated. The gowns, florals, emotion, love, chaos, and the way I get to curate a collection entirely dedicated to telling the story of that day. As of today, I’ve photographed 14 weddings, capturing my 15th on June 6th, which still feels surreal.

To every couple who has trusted me to document such an important part of their lives, thank you. Truly. Whether I’ve photographed your engagement, wedding, pregnancy announcement, family, or even the start of a new chapter in a new home, it means more to me than I can properly put into words. I’m a very emotional person, and I want that to come through in the galleries I deliver. The feeling, the little details, the in-between moments, all of it matters to me.
