It was another great luncheon event at Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Oak Brook with the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce recognizing and Honoring the 2025 Inspiring and Impactful Leadership Award Winners including Joe Buchholz from Buck Services Inc., Emilia Linardakis from Language Advisors Network Group, Kathie Watts from Elmhurst/Yorkfield Food Pantry, Cathy Youssef from Robert Half and Larry Herman Village President of the Village Of Oak Brook. This past week I entered 8 images into the print competition with the Professional Photographers Association of Northern Illinois (PPANI). It was humbling to watch in person at ProCam with friends how incredible talented this group of photographers are and I am lucky to call so many of them friends!

All 8 scored above 75 which is amazing. Not only did all 8 of my images score well, 2 merited and 1 received and excellence award as well as BEST OF WEDDING CATEGORY! I want to thank the wedding couple for allowing me to have creative control of this image, I had the idea in my head and they trusted me to capture it for them, even in a slight drizzle during the open dance of the party, which they gave me a few minutes of time to get this picture.

Couple’s like this is why I love do weddings and I am thankful to all my clients who trust me to capture their memories over years.

Yesterday we broke the heat record for this time of year but that did not stop the Mercy Housing Lakefront Nicor Volunteer Event from building a beautiful garden for the residence of the housing units. Filled with soon to be yummy fruits and veggies and pretty flowers to be shared by all and even painted glow in the dark bird houses to add a bit of fun for the children who live in the housing units, such fun! Thanks to everyone for their hard work in the scorching temps!
