💕✨ GABI + EVELYN | BEST FRIENDS, SOUL SISTERS & A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES ✨💕
SOME FRIENDSHIPS ARE WRITTEN IN THE STARS... AND SOME BEGIN IN KINDERGARTEN WITH TWO LITTLE GIRLS WHO HAVE NO IDEA THEY'VE JUST MET THEIR FOREVER PERSON. 🥹💕
Y'all... grab your tissues, because this one is a little different from my usual photography posts. This one isn't just coming from the heart of a photographer. It's coming from the heart of a mama, too. ❤️
Meet Gabi and Evelyn. Two beautiful young ladies who have been best friends since KINDERGARTEN! And when I say best friends, I mean the kind of friendship where the word "friend" doesn't quite do it justice anymore. At this point, these two are practically sisters! 👯♀️💕
Over the years, I've had the privilege of watching these girls grow from two little kindergarten sweethearts into the beautiful, strong, independent young women standing before my camera today.
And goodness gracious, what a journey it has been! 🥹
They've shared the giggles, the secrets, the sleepovers, the inside jokes, and all those wonderfully silly moments that make childhood friendships so special.
But they've also walked through some pretty difficult chapters together.
💔 The heartbreak of losing loved ones.
💕 The ups and downs of growing up and navigating school drama.
🌎 A global pandemic that turned their little worlds upside down.
🚗 And even a HUGE move across state lines that could have easily caused their friendship to fade.
BUT GUESS WHAT?! IT NEVER DID. ❤️
Not the miles. Not the hardships. Not the changes. Not even the passing years.
Through every season of life, these two have continued to choose each other. They've celebrated one another's victories, stood beside each other through heartbreak, and somehow managed to make the distance between them feel a whole lot smaller.
Because when a friendship is built on genuine love, distance is just geography. 💕
Now, here we are. Their SENIOR YEAR. 🎓✨
And I can hardly believe I'm typing those words!
I've had the honor of photographing their best friend sessions throughout the years, but THIS session? Oh, this one hits a little differently.
Watching them laugh until they couldn't contain themselves, hug each other a little tighter, and slip right back into their silly little world together reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
It's not just about pretty pictures. It's about preserving the people, the connections, and the stories that make life beautiful. 📸❤️
And as Gabi's mama, I cannot begin to tell you what it means to know that my daughter has a friendship like this.
I've witnessed their love, their loyalty, their laughter, and their admiration for one another firsthand. I've watched them grow up together, face some of life's hardest moments, and continue to show up for each other even when life made it difficult.
And as a mother, there is something incredibly comforting about knowing that your child has someone in her corner who has loved her through so many different versions of herself.
Evelyn, you've been so much more than Gabi's best friend. You've become family. And I hope you always know just how much you are loved. ❤️
Gabi and Evelyn, my sweet girls, as you close this chapter of your lives and begin writing entirely new ones, I hope you never forget the two little kindergarten girls who started this beautiful story.
Life will take you places. New adventures will begin. New people will come into your lives. There will be celebrations, challenges, and changes neither of you can imagine just yet.
But if there's one thing your friendship has already proven, it's that the strongest bonds aren't measured by how often you're together, but by how deeply you remain connected when you're apart.
And something tells me these two will still be laughing at the same ridiculous inside jokes when they're 80 years old! 😂👵🏻👵🏻💕

Thank you, Gabi and Evelyn, for letting me capture another chapter of your story. Being your photographer has been an honor, but being a witness to your friendship has been an even greater blessing.
