Signing back in after a long posting break to share these photos from a few weeks ago with one of my favorite families. They exude warmth, kindness, and fun, and it shows! We were in their beautiful yard and even involved a special visitor (I love including grandparents!). I'm so happy to have captured these memories of them together at their home. Also, these kiddos have grown so much since our last session--I didn't realize how much until I looked back!

I was so grateful to see this wonderful family again and that the rain held off until the end of our session together! I think we were rewarded with peak Fall foliage and photos that (nearly) took themselves :)

I took maternity photos for this wonderful family two years ago and was so excited to finally meet this little guy!!! He introduced me to his favorite stuffed animals, and we had fun in the (very) cold! And his mom (full disclosure, my friend and former coworker) brilliantly brought a second dress to layer over her first one for some of the shots--sheer genius!

These boys and their parents were such troopers on a colder than expected morning a few weeks ago. We got our biggest smiles and laughs as things warmed up and everyone played in the gorgeous Fall light! I'm thinking about these kiddos as I get ready to bundle up for a downright chilly shoot tomorrow morning, bribing myself with the promise of hot chocolate and beautiful photos afterward :)

These twin boys were SO sweet--I received many hugs and botanical gifts (leaves, berries, and other fallen plants on our path) over the course of our session! And one of them found the perfect log to sit on for photos--I couldn't say no to such good advice!

I'm doing something a little different here and posting ALL of the photos I delivered to this family to give a feel for our session and the end result. Or maybe I just can't decide on my favorites? Either way, enjoy!

I was so excited to deliver these photos in time for Father's Day because I knew I had some winners of the kids playing with their dad! It was such a privilege to photograph this kind, fun, and gorgeous family--they made it super duper easy for me!

Yes, I also took family photos of these amazing girls, and their wonderful mom and dad! And at their gorgeous new home! What a treat for me! Speaking of treats, if you are still looking for a great Mother's Day gift, gifting her family photos scheduled for this summer or fall would be very thoughtful :)

Looking at photos of this sweet girl and her family makes me feel like spring is around the corner! Believe it or not, this had started out as a rainy November day, but the sun, smiles, and waves all brightened the afternoon! Now is the perfect time to book spring and summer photos--warmer days will be here soon :)

It's cold and gloomy today in the DMV, so here's a throwback to all kinds of sun on the National Mall! I miss seeing Elyssa Wenzel--who counts as a friend, coworker, and fellow photographer all in one!--and can't wait to see her now-expanded family :)

I had the best time photographing this family, and their boys reminded me so much of my own! The older one wanted to learn how my camera worked, and the younger one turned sticks into swords. Apparently these boys loved the photos too and couldn't stop giggling when they saw themselves in them! Family photos can be fun--I promise. I even wear my running shoes to keep up :)
