I’ve been shooting on my Canon 5D mark || since my dad got it as a gift for me back in 2015.. I’ve been dreaming of upgrading to mirrorless, but my mom brain just couldn’t justify a new purchase like that (family comes first, right moms??) But when .ai had teamed together with back in October to gift someone a new mirrorless, I thought what the heck, I’ll give it a try…. I won 😭 And I NEVER win you guys 🤎

HUGE thank you to Schlomi with .ai for tackling this task (assuming shortly after being with Imagen) and just making it a point that this all came through 🥹 and also thank you to for shipping this to me in MT!! My current dilemma?… Choosing images to update my website and what to share with you guys.. BUT, I’ve been seeing some concerning things on social media that’s making me hesitate. I’d truly love feedback from all of you to help me figure out what to do, please.

I’ve no intention of sharing school pictures, sport, or any school involved event. I’m sorry if this is irritating to parents, especially with prom coming up. But it’s just not worth getting yelled at by a parent. If you’d like your kid’s picture shared to social media, you can buy the digital from me.

After seeing all the things on Lifetouch & the E. files, I’m thinking it’s best I don’t post images of your kiddos. Which breaks my heart cause there’s so many beautiful expressions & smiles that I want to share, but maybe it’s best I respect the privacy of the children?? And not feed the bad side of people..

Should I start getting permission from the person/s I’m going to be posting bout??

Am I just being totally in my own head bout all this? Should I make my instagram private & block any accounts I’m unsure bout & make my FB only so “friends” can see — that way I can share more freely without worrying??

Gaaaahhh!!! Why am I just now having this struggle? 🥴

I’ve got so much to say and show you guys. The struggle of not posting in so long has me now thinking of “what image should I share first?” “Should I make it personal? Or sound smart + clever?”

Nope, per myself, I’m just going to ramble 😁🤎

I was talking to Jacob + I mentioned people say “oh such n such year was/is going to be the/my year”. I told him “I’m tired of letting myself down by not having the years I strived for. Instead for 2026 I want to just take whatever God sends my way + see what He has planned”. — As much as I don’t want to think I’m going to fail, I know I’m going to. And maybe fail isn’t the right word; I KNOW that I’ve let previous clients down and as much as I want to be perfect, I’m not. This is by no means me condoning or making mistakes okay - I’m human. I’m not going to be perfect, only He is 🤎.

So… I want 2026 to be the year that I truly chase after Jesus FIRST. I’ve been spending the last months re-prioritizing the things in my life; my clients are not at the top. And I’m sorry for that. At the end of the day I’m His first, a wife, mother, friend, daughter/sister/family member, then photographer.

I just want my people in my “photography box” (if you’ve seen that women’s brains are boxes😂) to know that I’m not ignoring you, blowing you off, unreliable. I WILL answer your texts & get your requests done WHEN I CAN 🤎. I like to think of myself as a low maintenance person. Ask my friends guys 🫣😂 I’m not good with daily/frequent check-ins. I’ll send reels when they make me think of you & that’s kinda how I check in and show love right now. It’s just the season I’m in, I’m trying to heal myself before burn out.

So what will you find when you choose me?
- I’m All over the place 🥴😂🥰
- I’d rather pour into the same “my kinda ppl” & see you many times through life’s chapters, than many ppl only once
- Every stage is my fav in its own way for me to shoot
- I refuse to fight for space that I’m not wanted in or have to “push my way” into

If you’ve made it this far, I’m sure it sounds like I’m going through like a mini midlife crisis 😂 which maybe I am - but at least God’s driving, so I’m going to enjoy being passenger princess.

I got an abundance of Jamie just radiating with beauty and love during the ceremony. There’s no denying that she felt so much love even to her core in these!

This is for Dustin! This young man was so gracious to do a sunrise session with me right when we got back from Mexico last year before my family headed home. I think we got a total of 3 hours of sleep that night — plane got into Billings at midnight and we waited for over an hour for the plane to get unloaded & theeeenn Charlotte woke up sometime in the night n started puking. So 630 came all way too soon. But I’m so thankful for friends like Jenice who are good with my crazy schedule.

Am I crazy? I guess that depends on your definition 🫣 I don’t think I am.. But I’m sure after I share this little story ...

I’m blessed to have a village when it comes to raising my kids. The Nelson family is definitely a highlight in my kiddos lives. I’m very thankful for these 6 kids who’ve taken my kids under their wings & treat them like little cousins. So when Savanah asked IF it worked out, if I could photograph Ruben + Janessa’s intimate wedding, it was a no brainer with a side of “if I’m not in the hospital having a baby, I’ll be there!”
When Arabella was born in the weeee early hours on Monday I was hoping I’d be released sometime Tuesday morning so I could make it in time to this wedding just 6 miles from my home. Well, I got home to drop Jacob off, feed Arabella and make it to the ceremony 5 minutes late (thank you guys for waiting for me 🥹🤦‍♀️, completely embarrassing, but this was the only time it was somewhat okay).. So am I crazy for doing an intimate wedding the day I got released from the hospital?? Let me know in the comments 🫣

But I’m so friggin’ glad I made it to this wedding!! It was a beautiful afternoon and the light flowing in the shop was gorgeous! 🤩 I’m obsessed with all of the first dance images — some show Janessa’s beautiful bride glow while others enhance the twinkle of love in Ruben’s eyes.
