Miranda and Luke's wedding was during our recent heatwave. A few things were for sure: Miranda looked beautiful, their guests could dance (!!) and it was really really hot outside. We did have to go inside a few times to cool off, but they were awesome and we got all the pictures we needed. It didn't hurt that we were at one of my favorite venues, with two of my favorite vendors: Traditions Hotel and Spa., Woodfern Florist, and Engaged Entertainment Congratulations Miranda and Luke !!!

Jessy and Robert were so much fun to work with. They were surrounded by genuinely nice, and fun, family and friends. Their Ceremony was at Hope Lake Lodge / Greek Peak. It was a bit chilly and windier than we expected, but everyone was so great about it. Every wedding has a standout moment. Jessy and her dad provided that moment for sure. After what appeared to be a traditional father-daughter dance, they broke out into an awesome choreographed dance that was fantastic and so much fun to watch! I was so happy to be part of their day, and wish you God’s blessings on your future together!

I recently had some fun with Hallie and Brandon, celebrating their baby girl, who is due next month. Hallie’s mom and grandmother joined us to celebrate the generations of women in her family. I cannot wait to meet Miss Freya, and I know she’s going to be the cutest little flower girl next September when I get to photograph Hallie and Brandon’s wedding! Congratulations!

My family and I went camping 20 years in a row with several families in Sackets Harbor, near Watertown. Some of my favorite memories are from these vacations. Fast forward to last year’s Bridal Show where I met Lynne and Ryan. When they said that their wedding was in Sackets Harbor I think I jumped out of my skin and went on and on about how much I love it there. It was so much fun to photograph a wedding in one of my happy places. Plus, they were wonderful to work with! Their lake wedding was at a venue called The Barracks Inn and was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and reception. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your day. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Harding!

Gabrielle and Ethan couldn’t have been easier to work with and it was so fun to be part of their day. Their wedding had some things that were firsts for me. It was my first time shooting at their venue; The Homestead at Whitetail Valley in Rome PA. Gabrielle was one of my first zoom meetings with a prospective bride during the pandemic when we couldn’t meet in person. And It was also the first time that I’ve had members of the groom's family (who own a farm) have to leave the wedding for a few hours to ‘go milk the cows’. This made me chuckle but really It was a reminder of how hard farmers work behind the scenes for things we take for granted. I hope you guys had a great honeymoon and congratulations on your marriage!

I have mentioned before that this summer I have shot several Bar and Bat Mitzvahs; all in the same friend circle. This has been fun for many reasons but seeing the same faces at each event and saying, “Hey – I know you!” over and over was so fun for me. Cherese has been at each event and each time her smile lights up a room. She truly has one of the most beautiful smiles you could have! I recently shot Cherese’s daughter’s Bat Mitzvah celebration at the Binghamton Club. We started with family pictures and then the party began. DeRue was their DJ and he did not disappoint!
Hava Negila is the song that traditionally ushers in the Hora, one of the most exciting traditions of the evening. The Hora is a circle dance where the Guest of Honor (Jasmin) and her family each take a turn sitting in a chair being raised in the air as their guest hold hands and dance around them in circles. It is fast-moving and fun to watch. As you will see, Jasmin, and especially her dad, went for quite the ride! Enjoy the pictures. I’m sure you will agree – people were having fun!
