Happy October 1st! For those of you who do not know, October is breast cancer awareness month. It serves as a reminder for women to be screened in the hope that by doing so, early detection will lead to more positive outcomes in the fight against breast cancer.

My sister, Kelly Grunstra, is a MBC (metastatic breast cancer) fighter and warrior. She is spreading awareness for this terrible disease in so many ways! She is raising money and asking people to donate to . It is a volunteer-led, non profit organization that funds vital research to help improve the longevity and quality of life for MBC patients. Please check out this wonderful organization!

Many of you may know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Did you know that the third Friday in October each year is National Mammography Day? This was first proclaimed by President Clinton in 1993. On this day, and throughout the month of October, women are encouraged to make a mammography appointments. Please remind the women in your life to make their appointments!
