October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month. Concluding this month, I’d like to personally send out my best wishes to all families affected by this issue and hope the best for them moving forward in life. You are seen, your feelings are valid, you are loved 💕

💙 Each year, there are an estimated 1 million pregnancies that end in early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or newborn death - and that’s just in the United States.

💙 Approximately 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, the majority of which occur during the first trimester.

💙 About 1 in 160 pregnancies end in stillbirth.

💙 Around 1 in 4 infants dies within their first month after birth, frequently due to congenital anomalies, prematurity, or delivery complications.

💙 The overall infant mortality rate in the United States is approximately 5.4 deaths per 1,000 live births.
