He drove over 4,700 miles across 7 states capturing im

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY for Museum of Ventura County. Gallery opening this past weekend for Parallel Histories. Great event. Here are a few photos I captured.

Featured was a tomol built in Ventura, CA. A tomol is a traditional, plank-built ocean canoe used by the Chumash Native Americans of coastal Southern California. Highly advanced, these wood vessels were bound with heated asphaltum, revolutionizing travel, trade, and deep-sea fishing between the mainland and the Channel Islands.
