📸 EL PASO, TEXAS — STREET FASHION & AMERICAN YOUTH CULTURE 🇺🇸

Some of my favorite photographs from the Chris Brown and Usher concert near Sun Bowl Stadium are candid moments capturing fashion and individuality.

I especially love the men’s fashion. The gentleman in the bright red jacket, matching sneakers, white cap, and denim looks effortlessly cool. The bold colors against the blue sky and warm sunlight create a beautiful composition.

While documenting the concert, I spoke with another photographer, possibly from the Caribbean. Sharing an outsider’s perspective on American culture, he made an observation that stayed with me:

“American youth (culture) is Black (culture).”

The more I observe American fashion, music, and entertainment, the more I recognize how profoundly Black creativity has shaped contemporary American youth culture.

From streetwear to music and personal style, that influence is everywhere. Artists like Chris Brown and Usher continue to help define it.

For me, these photographs document more than concertgoers. They capture fashion, cultural influence, and the visual identity of American youth.

Two stunning besties, dressed to impress for a night out at the Chris Brown concert near Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas. 💃✨

From the bold black outfit and statement furry boots to the sparkling sequins and contrasting white boots, these two brought their own personalities and fashion to the streets of El Paso.

What makes this photo series special isn’t just the fashion or the beautiful portraits. It’s the friendship, the spontaneous laughter, and the memories captured in just a matter of seconds.

EL PASO BADDIES | STREET STYLE & GOLDEN HOUR 📸✨

One of my favorite photo shoots from El Paso, Texas, and definitely one of the masterpieces from my time near UTEP and Sun Bowl Stadium.

I also wanted to highlight men’s fashion, particularly the classic LA-inspired look: baseball cap, jeans, sneakers, and a simple T-shirt. Here, the style is slightly elevated with a denim button-down, tailored trousers, and leather shoes. Effortless, masculine, and sophisticated without trying too hard.

What makes these photographs particularly beautiful is the color palette. The warm golden sunlight, vibrant blue sky, green streetcar poles, orange trolley, and contrasting outfits all come together almost perfectly. Even the red baseball cap and leopard-print skirt add another layer of visual interest.

These were some of my final photographs before losing the sunlight, and the timing couldn’t have been better.

The historic streetcar near UTEP and Sun Bowl Stadium provided one of the most iconic backdrops of my El Paso photography journey.

Sometimes, great fashion, beautiful people, the right location, and a few minutes of perfect sunlight are all you need.

CHICAGO BADDIES | SPOTLIGHT ON A RISING DANCER 🖤📸

It looks like my photography is starting to reach a much larger audience, with over 77,000 views in a single night, individual posts reaching 10,000 views, and others surpassing 5,000.

I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to introduce a dancer I photographed during the 2026 Chris Brown & Usher R&B concert in Chicago.

I particularly enjoyed working with her. After our initial photographs, she approached me with such positive energy that we ended up doing an extended photo shoot together. Dancers are naturally photogenic. Their understanding of movement, body positioning, and expression makes photographing them an especially rewarding experience.

Something else caught my attention while photographing the tour.

After exchanging Instagram accounts and having casual conversations, I began noticing many young, up-and-coming dancers documenting their experiences participating in the 2026 Chris Brown and Usher concerts.

Their videos and personal stories become shared experiences among the younger generation, extending the excitement of the concerts far beyond the performances themselves.

From a marketing perspective, I find this particularly fascinating. These young performers create organic engagement and cultural conversations through their own social media platforms and communities.

In many ways, I believe these young dancers play an important role in the broader success of major concert tours.

The Baddies of El Paso, Texas 📸🔥 | Every Shot Tells a Story

For the first time, I’m uploading my concert photography in chronological order, including nearly every photo set that was purchased during the event.

And looking back at these photographs, I’m realizing just how delicate the relationship between lighting, timing, and spontaneous street photography really is.

Outside Sun Bowl Stadium during the Chris Brown & Usher concert festivities, I had just finished one successful photoshoot when another group immediately called me over.

Within seconds, everything changed.

The direction of the sunlight. The shadows. The exposure. Even the positioning of the subjects.

I was adjusting my camera settings as quickly as possible, but the transition between direct sunlight and shadow happened so fast that some highlights ended up overexposed.

From a photographer’s perspective, I can see the imperfections. But the photographs still sold.

And that’s something interesting about this business. While I evaluate exposure, composition, and technical precision, my customers are also looking for something else: the excitement of the moment, their friends, their memories, and the experience itself.

Sometimes, the moment matters more than technical perfection.

I’m sharing these photographs not only to celebrate the beautiful people of El Paso but also to document my own development as a photographer.

And there’s a reason I’m showing you these imperfect moments. Some of my favorite photographs from this concert are still coming.

The Baddies of El Paso, Texas ☀️📸 | Chasing Light & Shadows

One of the most important things I’ve learned as a photographer is that understanding the time of day, the direction of sunlight, and the relationship between light and shadows can completely transform an ordinary moment.

Outside Sun Bowl Stadium during the Chris Brown & Usher concert festivities, this beautiful couple gave me another opportunity to demonstrate that.

The late-afternoon sunlight created long, dramatic shadows, while the combination of natural light and flash helped bring out the subjects against the surrounding architecture.

Sometimes, knowing exactly where to position your subjects in relation to the sun makes all the difference.

Another interesting detail about this photography series: I’m publishing my photographs in chronological order, following the actual sequence in which they were captured.

Rather than selecting only the most glamorous moments, I’m documenting the entire experience as it unfolded — the people, the fashion, the couples, the atmosphere, and the changing light throughout the day.

It’s part street photography, part fashion photography, and part visual documentary of America’s concert culture.

And yes, these spontaneous photography sessions are also how I earn my living, with contributions from the people I photograph helping support my journey across America.

The Male Baddies of El Paso, Texas 🇺🇸🔥

Who says the Chris Brown & Usher concert only brings out the beautiful women? The men have their own style, too.

One thing I’ve noticed while photographing people across America is how recognizable the classic American male look really is.

A black T-shirt. Sneakers. Baseball cap. Sunglasses. A few tattoos. Nothing overly complicated, yet somehow effortlessly cool.

There’s something distinctly American about this combination. Rooted in baseball, streetwear, West Coast fashion, and hip-hop culture, it’s a style that has traveled far beyond the United States.

You could call it the classic LA look — relaxed, confident, masculine, and understated.

What’s especially interesting to me is how this style translates across generations. Even men in their 40s and 50s can pull it off without looking like they’re trying too hard. Compared with the more formal or tailored approaches to men’s fashion in many parts of the world, American casualwear has developed an identity of its own.

And here in El Paso, Texas, outside Sun Bowl Stadium, I found another great example.

Of course, the beautiful woman beside him brings her own elegance and style, making this couple a perfect representation of the fashion and energy surrounding the concert.

The baddies of El Paso aren’t just the ladies. The gentlemen deserve some recognition, too. 📸🔥
