why was i busy every weekend and still broke

great photos are the entry fee, and nobody pays extra for the entry fee.

so i put my money into my website and into ranking on google. least exciting thing i've ever paid for.

netflix found me through it, to shoot behind the scenes. my best clients found me on google.

you dont need more gigs. you need to be findable.

show me yours and i'll tell you what i'd fix first

why i carry a camera into hotels i could never afford

the camera got me upstairs into vip before anyone said i wasn't allowed

then staff recommended their bar. i never go to bars, but i went and got mega social

i met a private equity guy and a banker who works with millionaires, we swapped contacts

if you shoot, bring the camera and say yes when staff point you somewhere

why your photos get ignored while a reel keeps people watching

a photo only gets their eyes. a reel gets their eyes and their ears.

next time you post a shoot, film yourself saying why you took it or what happened that day.

people stay longer on that, and the longer they stay the more instagram shows it to others.

i don't think the algorithm changed. our attention did.

The more you raise your prices, the more people will value you.

I used to think the opposite. I thought the cheaper I would be, the more clients I would get. So I kept my prices low.

But the clients who paid the least were the ones who valued me the least. They didn’t value my time, my skills or my opinion. They micromanaged me, told me not to take breaks, and basically treated me like hands with a camera.

And of course, if they see you as hands with a camera, they will never want to pay you a lot.

So I changed one thing. When people asked for my pricing, I didn’t just send a number. I showed them exactly what they get.

They got my 8 years of experience, where I shot events worth millions.
They got someone who hyped them up and guided them, because being in front of the camera can be scary.
They got my editing touch.
They got studio lighting.
They got their photos super fast.
And a list of 12 things that made me unique.

When people saw everything they get, paying more suddenly made sense to them.

That is how I went from $400 to $4,000 per shoot in under a year. That is 10x.

And the clients who paid 10 times more trusted my opinion and gave me the freedom to do my best work.

It works the same way for coaches, consultants, anyone selling their time. The difference between $400 and $4,000 is how you position everything you offer.

why was she charging way less than her clients would happily pay?

i worked with an expert who sold single sessions and thought that was the ceiling.

i listened to her calls. her fear about money was doing the pricing for her.

we rewrote her script and she started selling months long one on one work.

if your price feels stuck, listen to your own calls for the moment fear talks.

how i went from $400 to $4,000 for the same shoot

most clients see a photographer as hands holding a camera, so the price looks like the whole deal

so every price i sent came with a list of what they got

my experience at big events, hyping them up when the camera feels scary, billboard sharp photos, fast delivery

the price was never the offer, the list was

show me yours and i'll tell you what i'd fix first

why does your content feel fake when your real work looks so good?

my setup turns a professional camera into a we**am on my computer.

i click record, it color grades and adds a filter so i dont look so tired, then uploads to google drive.

it's on wheels, so it rolls from my office to the studio and records what i'm actually doing.

13/10/2026

why are leads from ads so much harder to close?
they don't know or trust you, so the call becomes convincing.
i swapped that for useful content, ai agents doing the editing.
by the time someone booked a call, they already knew me and trusted me.
then on the call i only talked outcomes, never the technical stuff.
for a photographer, that's what the photos get them, not the lens.

His Video Got 36 Likes. Then We Made One Together

I’d followed William Brown for a while and wanted to be on one of his podcasts. This is how one message turned into working inside his business.

I told him his camera could look a lot better and offered to help him with his recording setup. He looked at my Instagram, saw the reel where I show how I built my own studio, and came back with a different offer: grow his Instagram. I told him I couldn’t promise a million followers, but I could get him to a hundred thousand, like I did for myself.

We met at his place, I gave him raw feedback on why his videos weren’t performing, and we mapped out how his whole business finds clients on the whiteboard: YouTube, Instagram, ads, email, calls. Then we filmed one reel together and I shot the whole thing behind the scenes.

Before that, one of his videos got 36 likes and no comments. That one got more than 500 likes and 175 comments. The next day he brought me in like a team member: I script, I direct, he performs, I edit.

In William’s own words, he’s scaling to $1M a month, and he calls this a game changer. A few months later he sent me the voice note you hear at the end.

4 hours for one video. Now it’s 1 click.

I used to spend 2 hours setting up lights and camera, and another 2 hours editing. For one single video. That is why most people stop posting. Not because they have nothing to say, but because every video costs them half a day.

So I changed the setup. I have a professional camera that’s connected to my laptop with a cable and it’s being used as a we**am. The lights stay where they are. I click once and it starts recording. When I click stop, everything uploads.

Then AI transcribes it, does research on what my audience is actually looking for, and decides what to post.

A year ago I had 15 video editors. Now I have zero. I don’t have video editors anymore. AI agents do the editing.

The reel where I first showed this setup got 278,273 views, 7,305 saves and 4,419 shares. But that is not the number I care about. Of my top 20 reels, it’s the only one I know brought me sales calls. People did not book because of the views. They booked because they saw the whole system in one minute and understood how it could work for them.

If you are a coach or a consultant and you hate creating content but you know you need to post every day, this is the part to copy. Make recording one click. Make the rest somebody else’s job, or an AI’s job.

DM me ā€œAuditā€ and I’ll look at yours and tell you what I’d fix first.
