This is a long overdue post because silence is just as damaging as overt racism.
I want to make the statement that me and my business support the Black Lives Matter movement, because all lives don't matter until Black Lives Matter.
This is how I am supporting:
1. I acknowledge my white privilege and the systematic racism of this country.
2. I am doing my part to listen, learn and speak up.
3. I put my money where my mouth is and financially contribute to Black Lives Matter and local Black-owned business.
4. I have a zero tolerance policy for overt or covert racism.
I will be adding to the above list as I continue to learn because I realize my learning will never be complete or over.
White friends and clients, if this statement bothers you, please message me privately as the Black community does not need to hear any further damaging comments.
