Hi everyone.
A week ago today, my long time companion, friend, and first baby fell asleep and didn’t wake up.
It has been rough.
Since Penelope was born, I’ve been taking monthly photos of her. Every time I would make sure to sneak some of Emmie too; She doted on Penny, and has always been a bit of a photobomber. When I did photo shoots at our old house (with a makeshift studio set up), it’d never fail that she would want to walk over and check it out, say hello to whoever was posing for me, and lay on the paper. When I first started playing around with a point and shoot camera at 15, she was my little model. I have taken many photos of her throughout the years, and it doesn’t seem like enough.
This is our last photo of the three of us. It’s our real life.
I cannot stress the importance enough of getting photos with your family, especially pets. Grab your phone at the very least and get some selfies. Because before you know it, these photos will become priceless to you.
