We are entering the sweet spot to plan ahead for Fall photos, and I cannot wait to see more incredible seniors this upcoming season! 🍁
🍂 The best time for peak Fall colors in Oregon and Washington varies a little each year, but typically we start seeing the real change happen mid-late October, and go through most of November.
This means getting in touch with a photographer ahead of time to secure your spot in that small window is crucial!
🌡️As we know, the weather in the PNW can be totally unpredictable, so having outfits that are layered can give you versatility if the temps fluctuate during your senior photoshoot.
Try layering light jackets, cardigans, and flannels with dresses, tshirts and tank tops to keep you comfortable.
🌻Location choice is huge of course, especially if you want maximum colors in your backgrounds. Ask your photographer for photoshoot location recs that look great in Autumn. Additionally, let your personal interests guide you to a location that might surprise you!
Typically parks with a ton of leafy trees (not needle ones!) will look great, and somewhere that has a bit of coverage in case the weather turns is always a bonus.
When deciding on wardrobe, colors that are typically associated with Fall will never steer you wrong, and they generally look well together.
Think greens, deep red, browns, oranges, and black. Of course, a pair of great blue jeans is never a bad idea!
