3 tips for choosing for your family photos style
1. Consider your home’s aesthetic. You’ll likely be hanging these images on your walls! Do you want to display classic + modern, boho, chic, neutrals, etc. Choosing the right outfits and location will help create photos that will compliment your space.
2. Seek inspiration. Use our style guide and social media (don’t forget Pinterest 😉) to find styles you love. Note any similarities between the photos and styles you save.
3. Talk to us! Our location list is HUGE. Sending us notes and inspiration pictures helps us narrow down the best locations for you!

Shooting how it feels is different than shooting what it looks like.
Each wedding has a vibe and each couple a different kind of love. Catching all the intricacies of your love comes down to asking the right questions, understanding what your love is like and knowing how to capture that.

Why we love a first look:
1. A moment of connection before the ceremony. Let’s face it, your wedding day will be full of things that could potentially distract you from the love that you are celebrating. A first look resets your mind back to who this is all about.
2. Time stops in these private moments.
3. The most intimate pictures. We love an aisle shot👏 and the emotion there, but the first look allows you to be close to one another when you see each other for the first time on your wedding day.
4. More time after the reception. Usually when couples chose a first look, we recommend doing some of their wedding party photos before the ceremony as well. This leaves a lot more time to enjoy your guests following the ceremony ❤️

Things to remember when preparing for family photos ❤️
1. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in and not feel rushed.
2. Make sure everyone is fed, bring snacks for longer sessions.
3. Focus on genuine interactions, look at your family like they are the most precious thing in the world.
4. Let your kids be themselves.
5. Cherish the moment you’re making and your photos will reflect a truly special moment.
