And this is the last story from Tim's graduation session!

I've said it before, but some photos need their own story.

When most people look at this image, they see a graduating senior with a collection of stuffed animals. But when I asked about them, I learned there was much more to the story.

Kermit has been around the longest. He originally belonged to Tim's dad, Chris, when he was about 10 years old. The dinosaur came from Chris's mom. The dog was received while supporting an autism fundraiser. Oscar the Grouch came from Tim's very first concert—seeing Darci Lynne perform.

The others may not have a big story attached to them, but they were among the first stuffed animals Tim received and loved. Over the years, they all found their place together.

And every night, they still sit tucked beside his bed.

I think that's one of the things I love most about photography. Sometimes the little details in a photo tell the biggest stories. A stuffed animal isn't always just a stuffed animal. Sometimes it's a memory, a family connection, a special event, or a reminder of where you've been.

As Tim prepares to graduate and move into the next chapter of life, these treasured companions are a sweet reminder that growing up doesn't mean leaving behind the things—and people—that helped shape who you are.

Congratulations again, Tim! Thank you for letting me capture not only your graduation, but the stories that make you uniquely you.

Some photos deserve their own story.

When I was photographing Tim's cap and gown session, I noticed the hat he was wearing and asked about it. What his mom shared with me made this image even more special.

The hat originally belonged to Tim's uncle, who wore it all the time. Sadly, he passed away when Tim was just one year old. Years later, while going through his belongings, Tim's aunt came across the hat and gave it to Tim.

Although Tim was young when his uncle passed, they shared a special bond. Tim was his first and only nephew, and he was deeply loved.

Since receiving the hat, Tim has worn it to bed every single night.

As photographers, we often capture smiles, milestones, and celebrations. But sometimes we get to capture memories, connections, and love that continue long after someone is gone.

This hat isn't just a hat. It's a reminder of an uncle who loved his nephew, a family who keeps his memory alive, and a bond that time could never erase.

Congratulations, Tim. As you step into your next chapter, it's clear you carry a piece of your family with you wherever you go.

One of the things I love most about photography is the relationships that come with it.

I've known the Klimek family for a very long time. Way back before 1998, I worked with Chris at Larry Miller Door & Glass. When I got married and left the company, life took us in different directions and we lost touch.

Years later, after I started my photography business, I ran into Chris again while shooting at Deep River County Park. As it turned out, he had become a photographer too! From there, I got to know Jenny and the rest of the family, and we've shared a lot of great memories over the years—shooting at the range, swimming in my pool, trading family photo sessions, and just enjoying time together.

And now, somehow, we've both ended up in the custom apparel business too! Chris runs a screen-printing business, and I offer DTF printing services. It's funny how life comes full circle.

The craziest part is realizing how much time has passed. It seems like just yesterday we were reconnecting, and now I'm photographing Tim's high school graduation. It was such an honor to capture family portraits and cap-and-gown photos for this special milestone.

Congratulations, Tim! Wishing you all the best as you begin your next chapter.

Moments like these remind me that photography is about so much more than pictures. It's about watching families grow, celebrating milestones together, and building friendships that last a lifetime.

Fifteen years ago, I stood behind my camera on a beautiful wedding day, capturing two people deeply in love and ready to start their life together. I still remember the smiles, the laughter, and that spark between them.

Since that day, I’ve had the joy of photographing every chapter of their journey — from those first newborn snuggles to yearly family sessions that have become one of my favorite traditions. I’ve watched their love grow, their bond deepen, and their family expand with Bentley, Beckham, and Bretton.

This year’s session — we chatted about how much taller the boys have gotten (how does time move so fast?), school and laughed how we’re all feeling our age a bit more every time we have to get up off the ground after a shot!

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do — capturing not just images, but the chapters of people’s lives.
