On 6-6-2026 we visited Kings Island to introduce riding roller coasters to my niece. Every time we visit Scene 75, we ride the little figure 8 style coaster they have. We arrived and I would answer questions about the coasters while her curiosity peaked. She was very determined that Orion would be her first coaster… ever. So we walked over there. She fit and passed the test of the sample seat so we got in line.

She was determined to ride this, because it was her brother’s name.

Orion is 287 feet tall, with a first hill that drops 300 feet and hits a top speed of 91 MPH. She is very brave her first coaster of 5 that day would be Orion. And she ended with The Beast and Diamondback.

Orion is a Giga Coaster by B&M coasters. It stands 287 feet tall and drops 300 feet on the first hill. You will feel the wind in your face when it reaches 91 mph.

Diamondback at Kings Island. First time in a front row. POV. Lift hill 230’, Drop is 215’, Pitch is 74 degrees, Top Speed is 80 MPH. Felt like a different ride since I am usually in the middle cars.

I really need to get on this again. 4.5 Gs on the top hat, approaching at 120 mph after a 400 foot drop off the spike. So much going on and it was over in a minute.

Millennium Force and Steel Vengeance were my goals when I started 3 years ago… but this was icing on the cake.

And yes, my hair is standing straight up from the winds of 120 mph

First time ride on Maverick at Cedar Point. Definitely felt like we were riding a fast horse across the west. 2 launches, 1 on the initial hill at 58 mph down a 95 degree pitch. The second in the tunnel is 0 to 70 mph in 3 seconds.

Very fun ride and will definitely hit it up again a few more times on my season pass.

Our first ride of the 2026 season, exactly where we end last year, Siren’s Curse at Cedar Point.

160 feet in the air, a tilt coaster.

This one is so smooth as it twist and turns and rolls through its small footprint in the park.

The on ride audio is amazing, including the creaks to make the tilt a suspenseful moment.
