We helped found the ICC, but never signed onto the compact to join it, refusing to hold ourselves to the same account we wish the word to be held to. Since the ICC’s inception we have been hypocrites in this regard.
Rather than become a country that doesn’t need to fear investigation or prosecution by the ICC this administrations move is to try and dismantle it. Bless their hearts.

You know who is probably terrified of the ICC’s reach and power in the world and would love to see it dismantled?
Anyone committing human rights abuses. Know anyone like that?
