Getting in the frame as a mom of four is not ideal, I get it.
We are the ones making sure the kids are even 'photo' ready but the messy truth is... they aren't ever.

There is not perfect smile because someone will always be making a silly face
There isn't a perfect hair style or outfit because the attitude + fight leading up to those photos will only allow you to feel a less enjoyable session when looking back on them

Which brings me too you won't like them anyways, so why bother?

I urge you mama to get in the frame but not how you think
Not just for that Facebook profile picture

get in the frame doing the things that youll be able to look back on when they are grown that makes you catch your breath and maybe wipe tears as you remember the good times. The innocence. The sweetness of motherhood.

Holding, laughing, nursing.. just being all in with them.

It's worth it, to get in the frame 💖

DANG!!! Did it felt SO good to shoot in Corpus Christi again. I LOVE nothing more than capturing families, pure magic happens when you allow your children to be kids in photos.

Steps toward loving each other, better. With unity and hope we gathered in solidarity last night because silence is not an option, anymore. ⠀

When we got there a camera crew wanted our picture, I told Cleavland I didn’t know to smile or not. To feel joy or sadness? ⠀
He looked at me boldly and said joy, this is the start so our children won’t have to be doing this. ⠀
All night I saw black children holding signs that said “am I next”, watching my daughter chant BLACK LIVES MATTER made my mind fill with all kinds of emotions.⠀
This is our America, sad and broken. ⠀

I’m standing proud and boldly to speak up for those who have been silenced!!! ⠀
⠀
We are about to register to VOTE, I am 28 years old and I’ve never voted. Right now my vote has a chance to change the future of our children and their children. We don’t know where to even begin on who to vote for but we are going to start. ⠀

A lot is new for us right now, but it gives me encouragement to know that I am not alone within this fight. ⠀

Sent off my final Georgia session and IM CRYING - this family became our family, Valdosta became our home even if I didn’t Want to believe it. It’s only been a month and I’m missing all over it, besides the heat... at least I have a beach now 😅 @ Valdosta, Georgia
