Between finishing up your academics along with all of the activities that come with being a senior, it can be hard to find time to capture the moment. While my February is about filled up, I still have some March and April availability for senior portraits!

Your Smartphone has been Lying to You...

Did you know that your smartphone is already editing your photos as you take them? When you take a photo on your phone, the software instantly forces its own "style" onto the image, unique to each brand. In general, it adds contrast, sharpens edges and flattens the colors into a JPEG. It makes the decisions for you.

In photography, the photographer makes these images. When we upload the photos from your session, they look more like the second image and then it is on the photographer to work the light and colors to bring life back to the image.

You aren't just paying someone to click a shutter, let's face it our phones can do that. Instead, you are paying for a vision that a smartphone algorithm simply can't replicate (or at least at the time of writing haha).

Behind every great photo is a lot of caffeine, a few lines of code, and some serious RGB energy. ☕💻✨
If you know me, you know these three things are some of the staples to my setup:
The Shot: Nothing beats the romance of a perfect veil shot during the editing process. 📸
The Fuel: Representing my AP CSA roots with the only .java loop that matters. (Yes, the mug is mandatory.)
The Vibes: You can’t coach eSports or be a gamer without a little custom lighting to set the mood. 🎮

I love capturing flatlays because they are the "prologue" to your wedding day. While nothing is mandatory, here are 4 things to consider setting aside to help tell that story:

1) The Paper Story: Two copies of your invitation suite so we can showcase the front and back details simultaneously.
2) Texture: A velvet ring box, silk ribbon, or a few "styling blooms" from your florist to add depth.
3) Light Catchers: Your signature scent or heirloom jewelry to add that editorial sparkle.
4) The "You" Factor: Most importantly, include what you love. Your flatlay shouldn't look like a Pinterest template; it should look like your life. Whether it’s custom sneakers or a family heirloom, if it’s meaningful to you, it belongs in the frame.

Your day isn't a trend, it's a reflection of who you are.

The case for Bridal Portraits.

If I’m being honest, the wedding day schedule is usually a sprint. Between the ceremony and the party, those quiet, editorial moments can sometimes get squeezed into a 15-minute window.

This is why I’m such a big fan of a separate Bridal Portrait session.

A few reasons to book one:
1) The Test Drive: It’s the perfect chance to see how your hair, makeup, and bouquet actually photograph before the big day. No surprises.
2) The Lighting: We aren’t at the mercy of a tight timeline. We can pick the perfect Georgia "golden hour" and take our time getting the shot.
3) Focus on the Details: Whether it’s the ink, the jewelry, or the lace on a high-neck dress like this one—we have the space to make it look like a piece of art.

Whether we head to your venue or a spot we’ve had our eye on, it’s about having a stress-free moment to celebrate the look you’ve spent months putting together.

🥂🌿Hard to beat a classic South Georgia backdrop. 🌿🥂

Nick & Hope’s day at Grassy Pond was a reminder of why these mossy oaks and lake views are some of my favorites to shoot. Between the ceremony on the water and the golden hour light filtered through the trees, the setting really did all the work for us.

I’m currently finishing up their full gallery, but I couldn't help but share a few of my favorites.

The spring calendar is officially moving. ☀️

I’ve had a few start reaching out about dates for when the weather starts to warm up, so I wanted to give a quick update: Saturday, April 18th is now officially full. I’ll be working with another photographer for that day, so I won't be able to take any new bookings for that Saturday (including LHS prom).

If you’re looking at other dates for Prom or Senior sessions, now is the time to jump in:

Seniors: Most Cap & Gowns arrive right after Spring Break—that is the 'golden window' for these shots. Let's get yours on the books before the May graduation madness hits. 🎓

Prom: I still have a few Saturday slots open for other schools, but once a date is claimed, it’s off the board! 💃

DM me with your session needs for the Spring before the calendar fills up, but keep in mind that things get crazier and crazier with each day we get closer to graduation!

Still not over this one! I spent a good chunk of the afternoon hiding in a bush to make sure Ty & Maddie had these memories forever. Seeing a surprise proposal go exactly as planned is the ultimate adrenaline rush.
