This week’s throwback Thursday:

The time I decided it would be cool to shoot and freeze on the ice.❄️🌨️

Actually, it was the best time. My husband brought his ice fishing shack so people could stay warm when they weren’t being photographed, and we had set times for people to show up. My friend did videography, and it was all around good vibes. The hours flew by quickly. I hope to doing something creative like this again. 🤍

I started going to model/photographer meetups 7 years ago. I knew nothing about posing, but each time I went to one, I learned. I was amazed at how effortless some models move in and out of poses. I wanted to be able to direct like that as a photographer.

The most asked question that I get in sessions is “what do I do with my hands, arms, or legs.” And in response I say, “don’t worry about it. I got you.”

Last afternoon, I had the honor of capturing the sweetest wedding ceremony. Leah was my first ever senior session a few years back (and we have done countless photo sessions since then for fun), so of course, I came out of wedding photography retirement for a couple of seconds to photograph this special day in Sheboygan.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather. The intimate ceremony had both families, and it was such a privilege to witness this joyful day. Congrats Leah and Andrés! I’m so excited for you two, and can’t wait to meet the little one. Love you guys. ❤️🫶

Ellie | Class of 2027

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is the chance to collaborate and be creative. I’ve known Ellie for the past couple of years, so I was stoked to be asked to capture her senior portraits for her at last week. I couldn’t have asked for a better senior session to kick off the Class of 2027. Ellie had so many awesome and creative ideas for her session. It was such a blast. On Sunday, I had the awesome opportunity to shoot some bts photos for an upcoming Forest City Cinema Community short film.

I first met Neil through the fabulous Julia Moore, and we were able to collab on an ice photo shoot last year which was super fun. I really had a blast and enjoyed being able to see the creative process of film making for the first time this past weekend. Here’s a few moments from the day of filming. It was nice to meet everyone!🙂 Thanks again for the opportunity.

I’ve been getting some senior inquiries so here it goes!

If you are looking for a senior photographer who values creativity and your input, I’m your girl. In fact, I encourage meeting with me beforehand to curate your very own unique session. My senior sessions are $250 for one location (more than one if the location is close and can be fit in that time frame), multiple outfits, and up to two hours of shooting with at least 50 edited photos with some black and white edits sprinkled in as well.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if interested! I’m now booking for high school and college grad class of 2027. 🎓
