Caitlin and I connected when she was a bridesmaid for one of my dear friends, whose wedding we captured here in Vail back in 2023. A few years later, I received what I would consider a dream text message from that friend:
“you wouldn’t be interested in coming out to Ireland in 2026 to document Caitlin + Jake’s wedding, would you?”
Is that even a question?
We were on board immediately. Of course we were over the moon excited—but more than anything, it meant so much to know that Caitlin + Jake connected with our work enough to trust us with documenting something so intimate, halfway across the world.
And somehow, the experience itself was even better than we imagined.
We arrived in Dublin a few days early, giving us time to explore the city before joining Caitlin + Jake for their welcome evening—meeting their people, getting to know everyone a little better, and documenting the beginning of a weekend that already felt incredibly special.
Then came the wedding day. Their closest people gathered together back in Ireland, a day that was beautiful without feeling overly orchestrated, and so much genuine joy woven throughout it.
And when it was all over, Brady and I picked up a camper van and spent a few extra days making our way along the west coast of Ireland before coming home—a gift of an experience that I don’t think either of us will soon forget.
There’s something pretty incredible about photography taking us somewhere we may have never otherwise gone, all because two people trusted us to tell this part of their story.
Caitlin + Jake, thank you for bringing us along for this one. Ireland will forever be a very special chapter in our story, just as it is in yours 🥂🤍
