Took a downtown stroll in Georgetown with Kayse & Christian! 🤍

It was such a great time capturing their engagement session! We talked and laughed and even got coffee at the cutest restaurant. The weather was perfect, the sun was hitting just right and they were just the sweetest people to hang with 🥹

I was debating bringing my camera and was even looking for some old school digital cameras. Ended up just taking my Rebel T7 and one 50mm lens.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably noticed this sweet couple and their girl, Khaleesi, pop up on my feed from time to time. 🥹

For the past year, I’ve had the honor of photographing this little family and capturing them through each season of their lives together.

Last summer, my friend Amie reached out to tell me that Khaleesi’s health was declining. She asked if we could do a session for each season for as long as we could, so they could have these memories to hold onto when her time eventually came.

Of course, I said yes. We started in the summer of 2025, and at every session, I was so happy to see Khaleesi still being her sweet, happy self and loved seeing her with her adorable bandanas on, because of course she had to have one for every season. 🥹

We had our usual plans for a summer session, but then Amie reached out and asked if we could move it up. Khaleesi wasn’t doing well, and they felt like their time together might be getting close. We had originally planned to have their summer session near the sunflowers but instead, we brought the session into the comfort of their home. And while editing these photos, one thing kept standing out to me… just how happy Khaleesi looked. She was smiling, She was surrounded by the people she loved and she was home. 🥹

About a month after this session, I received the news that Khaleesi had passed.

Looking back at these images now, I’m incredibly grateful that I got to be there to document these moments for them. Not just as their photographer, but as their friend.

Amie and Shane, thank you for trusting me with something so incredibly precious. Thank you for letting me walk alongside your family through these seasons and for allowing me to preserve these memories for you. 🤍

I know these photographs can’t make losing her any easier, but I hope they always bring you back to the love, happiness, and little moments that made Khaleesi so special. I’ll always be grateful I got to know her and even more grateful that I got to capture her being her happy, goofy self until the very end. 🤍
Run free, sweet Khaleesi. You were so loved.

One of the things I’m gonna miss about Austin is all the amazing proposals I’ve captured here! I was given the opportunity to capture proposals in beautiful locations and it’s something I’m so thankful for! 🥹

Also can I get an applause for not using AI to make this that I’ve seen in a majority of these type of reels 👏 used Tezza for photo edit and texts from instagram edits 😉
