My first rodeo is in the books as I had the privilege of photographing the Utica Stampede Rodeo with the Lucky E Rodeo Company. I am working on all the photos I took now. Friday's photos are already up on my website and Saturday should be up within the next day or two.
Thank you again Jon Street Photography and Native North Photography for your help and guidance. I love meeting new photography friends and I already can't wait till next year to do it again!

Duck, Duck, more Duck. After spending a few days relaxing at in Lake Placid on Mirror Lake I took a bunch of photos of my Son on his first vacation. But I also took some duck photos since they would walk right between our chairs invading our personal space. So here are some of the LP ducks on the lake.

The 2024 New York State Sporting Clays Championship is in the books. Vernon National Shooting Preserve did another great job hosting for the third year in a row. And guess what?!?!?! They will be hosting again next year. So I look forward to seeing you all again in a year.

Pitching heat in the sun!

The clouds were so thick at points in the day I couldn’t even guess where the sun was. When the time came I trusted my gear and started shooting. Looking at my laptop screen going through photos I thought all was lost. I’m staring at a phone of gray boring clouds. But in the clouds I can make out the faintest golden ring. Moving some sliders around I was able to bring out the natural colors and light of the eclipse through the dense clouds.
Just a lesson in making the best from what you have. I can be mad and jealous of all the great shots I am seeing others taking. Instead I looked for the gem in what I had.

I went from photographing a game or two with my RF 100-500 f/4.5-7.1 to making the leap to the RF 70-200 f/2.8 and photographing a whole tournament. I delivered over 1,400 photos and turned everything around with edits at exactly a week.
I’m pretty proud of myself and where I am in my photography journey that has been self taught.

Shots from the seats
I had the privilege of being able to take some shots at yesterday’s Comets game against the Crunch where they won 4-1. All the shots taken are from my season ticket holder seat with my Canon R6 with my 100-500 RF attached.
