β οΈStudio & Session Updateβ οΈ
*FAQs and session inquiry updates can be found at the bottom of this post*
----------
It's been quiet over here for a while and I wanted to update everyone! As much as I love what I do, as much as I love the studio I've built and as much as I have missed all of you and your sweet babies, I am just being honest in saying that my son's health absolutely had to come first. β€
As many of my recent clients know, my son Toby had to have an unexpected heart surgery last Wednesday. This was something we had been told would likely occur in late winter or early next year, so it was not on any of our radars as of yet. However, after a routine pacemaker transmission on July 31st, we were notified that Toby needed emergent surgery to replace his pacemaker as his battery was draining at an alarming rate and he had less than 4 weeks left on it. The bottom chamber of his heart does not beat on it's own and his pacemaker is running 100% of the time. This meant that both myself and my Husband's businesses immediately went on hold starting the first day of August while we prepared him and the rest of our family of 7 for another major surgery. We donned our armor and started the journey to carry our son through another surgery, with the unknown of if/when his pacemaker could flip into "power-saver mode" at any moment, hanging over us. After the time it took to coordinate his surgeon, specialists and cardiac anesthesiologists, and after our family took the time needed to process this unfortunate information and situation, our boy went into the OR right at the end of his battery life. It was a close call and we all knew it, so during that hiatus, my business phone was turned off. Ill interject again, as much as I love what I do, as much as I love the studio I've built and as much as I have missed all of you and your sweet babies, I am just being honest in saying that my son's health absolutely had to come first.
I am blessed to have such amazingly kind and understanding clients that have allowed my family the time we needed and I cannot thank those of you enough! Your patience with me through this time has been an absolute blessing and all of your messages checking on my tough guy and myself were appreciated beyond words. Seriously. π
Toby was a trooper through his surgery and showed us what true strength really looks like yet again. He is doing wonderful and surgery went smoothly! So after a month of close monitoring and praying the floor didn't fall out from under us, and after 5 days of tending to him and his healing, I am back in the studio! β€πΈ
I have missed all of you so much and I cannot wait to get back to editing galleries and photographing your perfect little loves!
I am spending today and tomorrow responding to messages and inquiries and Wednesday I will return full swing to editing and galleries. Thank you again for your patience as I get back to you, I received countless correspondences while I was out and I am getting through all of them as quickly as possible. If I have not responded to you yet, you can check the FAQ at the bottom of this post for more information until I am able to respond to your message.
I cannot wait to see what the rest of this year holds now that I can give all of you the full attention you deserve! And as always, thank you for supporting my business, my family, my babies and my art!π€
